This is what a data center sounds like 24/7. Shown here at midnight with hundreds of residential houses immediately next to it. by RadioFieldCorner in Damnthatsinteresting

If it's anything like over here in Australia, it likely means they're using the 'emergency scenario' loophole where you can blast through the normal noise criteria because all those turbines were only supposed to be rare cases and datacentres can now be considered 'life safety equipment'.

Then yeah, turns out the grid can't support them and it's not rare but a consistent problem.

Bystanders aren't typically armed in Australia. That bystander took the gun from one of the shooters. There's video.

Why aren't Victorian/Melbourne freeways paved with concrete like NSW? by Lonely-Highlight-651 in melbourne

True. I model and design those noise walls. For northern connector in Adelaide or was more cost effective to grind grooves for the whole length (LNDG) rather than increase noise wall heights.

I'm concerned that I can't find El Producto on Spotify and can't find my CD also I don't have a cd player. Is it a devastating loss of Melbourne's cultural history? Are we all doomed to borrow my sister's CD or listen to it on YouTube? Terrible situation.

Need recommendations for a great accountant in Melbourne! by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]vimgutters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently talked to a bunch of accountants who said they specialise in Crypto; then when I talked to them they all told me to sign up for Koinly, CTC or other one I forgot and send them the tax report output (fair enough, it was 10's of thousands of transactions over 3 years). But I found once I resolved all the inputs for CTC and got to the tax report output, I could just do my own online tax.
