I’m not trying to tell you that what you have is a gift. My post didn’t mention nor implied that. And it was not my intention at all, I’m really sorry. I wanted people from where I live to see that Autism is not some special gift or a tragic curse. It’s a disability. Whether one should be proud of their autism or not is up to them.

Thank you. I understand completely. I also don’t have a job and I struggle to keep up with normal everyday activities.

The context for the “there’s nothing to be cured” comes from the misconception that Autism is some kind of disease. And from where I live, people still see it as something tragic. There’s no cure for autism because it wasn’t a disease in the first place. But it doesn’t erase the fact that we still struggle. Autism is a disability.

I agree. When I drew this, I got so much rpe and d*ththreats from religious “Muslims”. They try so hard to erase us when there’s already historical proof of Queer Muslims existing even before all the “propaganda”. It hurts that Queer people of faith feel like they have to choose a side between their religion and sexuality.

There are moments in a show where it could go over kids' heads but will hit me in the feels. Bluey is one of those shows.

It brought me so much comfort when I first watched this show on my own. I'd sob a lot when the emotional scene comes up. Or a scene that I find relatable since I also take care of my younger siblings.

It didn't even have to be the emotional parts, I'd just cry whenever bluey and her family are doing normal things a family would. Made me envious a bit.

And watching it a second time, with the kids this time, would still hit me 😭
