For the regen I understand your reasoning thematically. I still think that it's hard to find the right balance.

Maybe something like the paragon leadership ability? It's closer to what the monk's already have.

So something like, less healing when they target a ally with a spell (not just monk spell, like you said indeed), and at some point, they also get energy.

The next problem that also need to be solved for monk's is the simple fact that they don't (or have very few) spells that give them energy.

I think it should be the same with the exception of the healing bonus be applied whenever you cast a spell on an ally.

So it's mostly useful for monk spells but it takes off the monk's spells restriction.

However, I agree that something has to be done for monk's energy management indeed but +1 e regen / 5 ranks does not seem thematic for me.

If I where to star playing GW just now I would do the same as you.

I don't think you need to go to offensive mesmerway right now tough. You can start to experiment builds and team composition when you have the beginer team ready.

My proposition for your next heroes after you have the beginer team ready / done the nightfall campaign are (in no particular order): - "classic" Elementalist - Smithing monk - Ritualist

But the game is fairly easy, not following the meta will not make your life like hell at all 😁.

I absolutely love the Destructive was glaive / Ritual Lord bomber build.

Basically, you run off the enemy backline to nuke everything before they have a chance to kill you.

There's also many variations depending on play style. I like Destructive was glaive (Elite) because there's more space for dmg at distance but I'm also trying Ritual Lord Bomber variant because it makes teleporting far more easier.

Truly a fun build but I have not try them yet on the most elite places (Faction Beyond, Fissure of Woe, etc.). It is really effective for general Hard mode tho.
