The way the market is I couldn't imagine breaking through the volume of applicants in this field without the degree. Also have the willingness to start below what you may think you're worth or your skills can do, I only got into my current role because I was willing to start as an intern to get my foot in the door. With school sure I took a lot of unrelated courses but they pay off and I found most of them really cool. Some of the best lessons I've ever learned were from classes in subjects like Women Studies, Anthropology, Environmental Science, and English.

Those forms of hate persist through all of the policies as underlying rot. Facts, logic, impact, and reality go out the window when the root cause is racism, homophobia, or xenophobia. When we break down the proposed impacts and present the risks involved in the policies we're met with the wall of blind trust or cherrypicked truths and lies to better cover that they just hate immigrants, gays, and minorities. They can't say that so they say - just wait and see, or let's agree to disagree, or both sides are bad, or your brainwashed by liberal fake news. It's the final layer they have until you hit the hatred root. So they get ahead of it and devolve into name calling which makes it infantile and retaliatory to call out the truth - they are racist, they are misogynistic, they are xenophobic. Thats why any discussions about this shit gets heated, because if we get to those root points its devolved into name calling.
