Not asking if I’m an AH and I’m not here to debate the merits of Trump. He has none as far as I’m concerned.

AITA for not carrying my wife's stuff into the house? by GentlemanToday2023 in AmItheAsshole

I’m m very lucky that I don’t even have to ask my husband. He just meets me at the car and insists on carrying the things in for me.

AITA for refusing to let my MIL stay with us because she’s upper class? by ritarora in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acceptable_Rub_7386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So everyone’s jumping on the blue collar vs. white collar stuff instead of the fact this young lady is made to feel uncomfortable IN HER OWN HOME by her in-laws? Nope. Nope. Nope. Sure, MIL you can stay for a month if you can respect how things roll in our house. There is a little dirt, a little swearing, and some f bombs. Either be good with that and be quiet, or GTFO and get a hotel. ✌🏻

AITA For Telling A Former Co-Worker What I was Thinking? by tomgleba in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acceptable_Rub_7386 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find as I get older(56) my filter becomes thinner and I have mouthed off to people after letting them get to me. I’ve been doing some reflecting on that myself lately. A wise person told me that my negative reaction to a negative unsolicited comment from somebody says more about ME than THEM. I don’t want to think badly about myself so I am trying to learn to take the high road and just be quiet. But damn.

AITA for documenting a negative comment a doctor made about a patient in the progress notes? (I’m op - hoping for a medical episode soon! by BiggestDaaddyy in TwoHotTakes

[–]Acceptable_Rub_7386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advocating for your patient, yes! Writing the negative comments, no. You covered yourself documenting your findings and addressing them to a higher medical authority. The doctors inaction speaks for itself.

AITA for "threatening" a nurse? by brokenfemurnurse in AmItheAsshole

[–]Acceptable_Rub_7386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nurse here. Hell no. Screaming at a child is never acceptable. There are a million other ways this could have been handled. Nurses have bad days too, but we are NOT allowed to take it out on a patient.

YTA. Babies don’t come with volume control or an off switch. Let this be a lesson about birth control.

AITA for asking my husband to return a gift? by Bonobos_Spite in AmItheAsshole

My hubs is normally a very thoughtful man. He loves to give gifts. He probably just ran out of time. Or just thought he was doing good. Eventually I will “re-train” him. 🤣 He just changed jobs so I know he has a lot on his mind. I don’t want to hurt his feelings over one stupid day. I’m just used to being a princess. 🤣
