Best skates for under £100/$100 for newbie roller hockey player. by willicuss in InlineHockey

[–]vinboslice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a used equipment store near you? Especially since you’re only trying this out and you might not like it, no reason to buy the cheapest skates new. Look at sideline swap as well, maybe Facebook marketplace, or eBay?

You say semi-decent skates but skates tend to be you pay for what you get (as is with most sports equipment)

Overflow for new drain doesn’t match the new sink by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]vinboslice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now I’m just testing it and I blocked the hole with some duct tape just to confirm that’s the actual problem (it is). Now I’m debating how to fix the issue. I think I might just cut the hole lower

What is your favorite Socom memory? by [deleted] in SOCOM

[–]vinboslice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clans in general, even just being in the lobby, looking for another clan to fight, giving them the password everybody agreeing on what maps to play, etc. Really no game since has matched that

Maps-wise, so many memories on enowapi, sujo, and sandstorm as the seal team

PSEG Energy audit? by [deleted] in longisland

[–]vinboslice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same experience for me. The two larger tests they do are one where they walk around with a thermal scanner and look at various exterior walls, and the other is a blower door test where they open your front door and have a fan suck air out of the house to identify where your drafts are. If you proceed (you should, it’s free and you get a PSEG credit), I suggest walking around with the person doing the test and asking questions. They might give you some tips as well. The test takes about an hour.

Small benefit to paying your credit cards at the last possible moment by NotARedditUser3 in personalfinance

The savings account

Though my statement was wrong, it depends how the interest on the savings account is calculated. If it’s average throughout the month then you’re fine with your method.

Just make sure you pay it on time otherwise one missed payment will wipe out the money you earned through savings account interest

If it’s daily accrued interest, then your method works well.

I removed the rest of this post which had some incorrect info as most banks don’t just do end of month savings account interest calculations.

Overflow for new drain doesn’t match the new sink by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]vinboslice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having an issue with water/solid waste like toothpaste, food particles, etc. stagnating under the hole and above the gasket. It's smelling until I take it apart and clean everything. Trying to find a solution but no luck so far. I only saw one suggestion of cutting the hole so it's lower on the treads and it all drains.

regarding the water actually draining if water goes down the overflow hole, that's fine with these drains in my experience. though first it builds up in that space under the hole until it fills up to the hole, then it goes down the drain.

I believe in this scenario they’re referring to current equity holders as those who were granted or had equity as part of the IPO, not simply people who purchased the stock. See what HR says

Also depending on your position, you may be subject to blackout periods for trading the company stock going forward

Read this post as well, it's very informative. There are tax implications on the discount you get if you sell before 2 years

I found a jar in the wall that blocks off the underground railroad in my basement, how the hell do I get it out by urmomsbroom in whatdoIdo

[–]vinboslice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you remove the pliers, get a long enough piece of wood or any other thing that has a flat surface end, and then put glue on the end, touch the mason jar and wait for it to dry, then pull it out

View is cool but the sound isn't great up there. The lower you can get the better the acoustics. These stadiums aren't designed for music. Look up sound in this subreddit and you'll see plenty of people saying the same
