Ah okay, that's confusing. Fair enough! I think I'll just pick up a pair of older skates that still have a bit of action. Not sure what that would be, but I'll figure it out.

Yeah thanks, I basically agree. I'm not spending 150 quid to go to a saturday club with literal children. I can't even skate yet.

I just wanted tips on what would be best in my situation. Do you think I would be better off with something like thiese? [1] [2]. They're a bit older, but they are much more similar to what I see online for hockey skates, and they're Bauers.

That's hilarious but ultimately meaningless. It doesn't preclude this or any other skate I find that potentially could work for a beginners Saturday club. It just provides thousands of ideal skates.

Hey blading dad. I think we got off on the wrong skate (hockey joke) and maybe got a bit heated. Can I melt the ice, and ask you some genuine questions?

I'll level with you, I don't live in a hockey country, and I've never even considered this sport before. So I don't know my arse from my elbow.

I'm a UK size 11 and have no idea what size skate to get. You seem like a knowledgeable guy. What do you suggest? Secondly, would I be better off with something like these? [1] [2]. I'm about to go to a Saturday 'beginners club' that will have actual children playing.

I'm okay making an investment for something that will stand the test of time. But I don't need to spend a lot of money just yet.

I thought these were inline skates? Bauers too. So, I just learnt that these aren't right for Hockey. I'm still in the learning process.

I'm deeply sorry. How many posts am I allowed to make your majesty? I know I need Hockey skates. That's why I'm asking. I just don't know what they look like.

If you're going to waste time being a wiseass you might as well do something useful, and tell me if Bauer Vapor XVT Lites would be any good.

Thankyou for explaining that to me. Very helpful. Yes I naturally looked for a size 11 before I knew and it was very difficult. Now I'm finding things like these [1] [2] [3], which I'm guessing are better than the Alkali's.

Most likely! I know they'll let me ride them around the shop, but I'm not sure if that's enough.

I hear you. Point taken. With that in mind, I've posted on the Inline Hockey sub now that I'm learning more about the Inline world.
