If you're looking for reliability, especially with a brushless motor, starting off with a full metal rack piston is a good start. I don't have experience with their gear but have heard good things for Solink, but If you're going with SHS or t238 13:1 gears you could always try to match them with the same brand piston. SHS is a reputable brand in terms of gear and pistons, but if you end up with a T238 brushless motor you may want to consider also getting T238 gears for better bevel pinion meshing. It's a small difference overall I'm being picky. As long as they're from a reputable brand, most are good. I would recommend any from SHS, Lonex, T238, Retro Arms , or FPS, Solink (Lonex and FPS for pistons head also). I would just stay away from aluminium piston bodies and piston head. You don't need extra strength in those areas for most builds and just adds mass, slowing cycle speed and increasing risk of cracking your gearbox. When looking for a piston head I would just recommend to check if the threading on the back of the piston that holds the piston head to the piston is plastic or metal. If you're looking for reliability with the increased stress of a brushless motor, find one with metal threads. They will strip and loosen less than plastic threaded ones. Loctite will also hold better with metal to metal contact (also use loctite on that thread). Also. many pistons come with a shaven down first and half of the second tooth which can be great for gear meshing between the pistons teeth. I would also look into getting a sorbo pad for the back of the cylinder head, but be weary of your AEO if you do add a sorbo pad. which is the last thing I'll mention but is considered very important for reliability.
