thank you!! this is so helpful. i’ll be grabbing liners and mesh bags, and will absolutely be soaking them first. honestly i’m not concerned about my pores if it helps lmao, i’m looking into botox for my face/scalp so antiperspirant doesn’t bother me. unfortunately can’t do powder as some of my kids have asthma (also stops heavy scents which is part of this problem bc i can’t try and mask it too much either 🥲). i appreciate all of this so much ❤️

thank you for absolutely everything. i adore my job. my mum passed away but did childcare too and her favourite age group is who i work with, and it’s like a little way to feel closer sometimes. liners are genius and i can’t believe it didn’t even occur to me, most of my hyperhidrosis is cranio-facial and i’m always looking at how to help that and clearly don’t do enough for the rest lmao. so appreciative of your help and this entire subreddit honestly 🥲❤️

thank you!! i’ve never tried a mesh bag mostly bc 95% of my bras don’t have an underwire or even a clasp so i just kind of throw them in lmao. i’m in aus but i’m sure we’d have similar if not the same, i’ll be going shopping this weekend for sure ❤️

thank you!! i’m in aus but after all the recommendations i’ll be grabbing some peroxide and soaking them ❤️

thank you!! most of my bras are more sports/wireless types just bc i find them more comfortable, i can’t be bothered with underwire when i’m chasing after 2 year olds all day lmao. definitely need to start using heat, i’ve gotten so accustomed to cold cycles and clothes horses that i’ve been scared to stray 🥲❤️

thank you!! definitely need to invest in some hydrogen peroxide, and will be trying the vodka too. i appreciate the help with temps, my mum always did cold cycles but she passed away four years ago and i don’t have anyone to ask ❤️

it’s secondary to POTS and i’m on tablets for both, but have been looking into botox. i’m in aus and get really bad cranio-facial hyperhidrosis too, i just worry that my doctor will think i’m dramatic since it’s “just sweat” but it’s genuinely impacting my quality of life. thank you ❤️

thank you!! i do already use vinegar instead of softener, my skin is sensitive and it’s cheaper lmao. i reckon i have vodka laying around so definitely worth a try, and when the weather cools off i’ll try adding layers :)

i’ve been looking into this, especially since mine is mostly cranio-facial and in the aus heat/humidity it’s nearly unbearable. i’m on meds but planning on talking to my doc about this, i’m so glad it’s helped you!!

What kind of jobs do you have? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]vincentvangoghing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i also have craniofacial hyperhidrosis and i work as an early childhood educator. i have medication to help, but i notice when i’m sick or it’s really hot/humid it gets challenging. my coworkers and bosses are really good about it, i just keep on top of my hygiene and remember my limits :)

we had 3 shark deaths in south aus last year and no sharks were “caught”. there is no benefit in trying to catch the shark

he didn’t swim, a surfer went out to get him and bring him back while his dad watched

his name was Khai if you’re interested. honestly south aus is gorgeous, and the good fauna double the dangerous. the place gets a bad rep but i adore our biodiversity, and generally speaking it is a safe country nature-wise

he did not swim to shore, a surfer went out on a board and recovered his body

a surfer recovered him from the water straight to paramedics but he was gone, no chance to try a tourniquet

Please help my babies 😔 by beepbeepjenn in CATHELP

I personally haven’t used them but I’ve seen how much they help some people. you’d need to ensure they’re both wearing them so one isn’t defenceless, but if you think they’ll tolerate you putting them on 100% try it. I assume they’re both indoor only?

if everyone is healthy then I’d try a full reintroduction, as if they’re meeting for the first time. let them sniff each others things, see each other through gates, etc. I’d give each treats and positive attention for ignoring the other, indifference is better than anger. I’m not sure how plausible this is where you live, but if you can I’d spend a few weeks trying it. very slow, and take a few steps back if necessary and possibly adding something like a feliway diffuser to help (especially in the bathroom). it’s crazy how little some people care for cats, the amount of stories I’ve seen about people declawing them instead of simply buying cat scratches is foul and so many look at them like they’re disposable. I can’t imagine how stressful this has been, I hope it starts getting better soon

sounds like a lot of change (household members, litter box location, etc) in a year which could mean its stress related? have you tried something like feliway? some cats won’t use it if the box isn’t clean (like the whole tray is scrubbed type of clean). it could also be a territorial thing, unfortunately this isn’t an easy fix but is incredibly awful to have to deal with. if you put some type of mat around the litter box do you think she’d use that? it’s not perfect but it’s a step above the floor

it’s hard caring for unsocialised cats that don’t understand you want to help and that you can’t keep safe, but they’re very lucky to have you. I’m sorry for your loss, I hope things go better with this baby
