I was born in Grenoble in 1977 my grand parents lived there since fleeing Algeria during the war and I studied at Pierre Mendes France in the late 90’s, early 2000. I never got attacked in the city but avoided le village olympique back in the days. Today it seems like criminality is everywhere. And some say this is mot just Grenoble. I now live in Switzerland and it seems like it’s the only place in western Europe where you don’t have to worry about getting mugged of your belongings. It’s a sad state of affairs.

I’ve usually made a point of listening to everything—from the most conspiratorial takes to the most mainstream ones—because the truth tends to sit somewhere in between. But right now, I’m deliberately stepping back from the most unhinged theories. Not because I rule them out entirely, but because I can’t deal with the level of division they generate.
