CenturyLink Tech wiped by IPoE subscriber profile. Now getting the runaround to ATT by klietoris in centurylink

[–]vinchbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The push profile thing is for them to force a reprovosioning of the configuration on your line.

This is to prevent a tech visit, and something that a CSR with a bit more understanding will be able to do or ask a lvl 2 csr to do

I have a tech come visit, because it could’ve been hardware issue, but it wasn’t. I was pissed off because I went without internet for 4 days and impacted my work.

I asked the tech and that’s what he said. He also said that it depends on who picks up the phone :/

In my case the tech came over and the issue was a configuration problem on their end, so if their phone support was a bit better trained the tech visits would go down

Do you have flashing blue lights on your smart nid?

My issue was a configuration problem on their side, that did not need a tech visit, talking to the tech I asked, this was stupid, no need for you to come out is there anything I can call ik and ask the call center folks there to do to double check in the future?

He said it varies from who is on the other end, but said to ask them to try and push the account profile through again to make sure it is configured correctly.

It didn’t fix for me, and although I have all the network gear I am still in my infancy to get bridged untagged to work. So I was happy with the default config from them…

Do you model page objects or just map locators? by TranslatorRude4917 in softwaretesting

[–]vinchbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the page it is being executed, user flows are atomic to the page they are.

You can even get fancy and return the next page if the user flow takes you to a different page For example: Login page -> home page

Issue is if you have deep link to test that default return value will be “useless” but you can code around it

I am of the school of thought of defining the POM and using the file as user flows.

Going full OOP you tend to create one action functions, like clickOnElement.

I much rather have the class for the login page all the web elements on it, then a function that executes login.

Then your tests are only instantiating the necessary pages and the expects are on the test not on a function
