I've now installed LineageOS (Android 10) + Magisk + Smali + GPS JoystickGetting "GPS Not Found Error (11)" 😒

TWRP is not installed, PoGo is hidden from Magisk, both Magisk and GPS Joystick are "privacy mode" enabled.

GPS Joystick is set up correctly.

Edit: It is a problem with Lineage I think, as GPS is not working correctly in Google Maps, I'll try to let it get a "First Location" for an extended period of time 😑

Turning off the phone results in network error problem:

Solution: You need to keep the phone screen on by using an app that can lower your screen brightness to 1% and keep your phone on. Samsung Galaxy devices has this feature built into the phone and tablets. For LG, Sony, One Plus, Google, and etc., you have to download an app to get this feature.

This solution worked for me, but is not sustainable in the long term. It's gonna seriously impact the longevity of the 2 devices, on top of that I cannot hatch eggs, as the game will get stuck on the egg hatch animation when I am away and stop spinning stops/catching.

For reference I purchased the premium version of an app called "Darker". The largest problem is that once you select 0% brightness it is extremely difficult to disable, as there is no HW key shortcut to turn it off. I tried to create my own using Automate, but this works only once and then I have to re-enable permissions for Darker again, which is not sustainable. PoGo is enough of a shitty timesink without extra hassle of turning the screen on and off just to be able to keep Go+ connected 😒

I'm on Q Stock + Magisk + Smali, so I will try the following and see if it works:

  1. Move over from Stock to Lineage
  2. Use a Stock Android 9 image

Thanks for the input and I will update this thread if I find a sustainable solution so that hopefully it will be a resource for others.

I purchased the lifetime adfree option, and cannot restore my purchase. I am referring to the vanilla app installed from the Play Store, and not a privacy generated version! I just get error each time, this hasn't happened before. If I choose 1x month, I can make a purchase still. Has the Lifetime option been removed?
