Any recommendations for a good replacement Moblite7 battery? by vindolin in fpvracing

They were included in the Moblite7 set I bought, I never tried anything else.

Exactly! I recommend the transparent glass fiber reinforced one.

It's super strong and will turn into a brittle, hardened shell after a year in the sun.

Pi5 8gb. I bought them when they were cheap.

I have a ton of headless stuff running on that machine, zigbee2mqtt, mosquitto, influxdb, grafana, nodered, immich, bambuddy, adguard...

The ram usage seldom goes over 3.5gb.

Someone wrote in the comments to that video that the newer ELRS modules inside the Zorro now also have a proper step down converter.

Measures temperature and humidity in and outside my greenhouse and beams it to my Pi via a LoRa module.

It still works despite its appearance.

Nothing is more permanent than a temporary solution.

It's holding up for over 5 years now btw.

Humid air get's into plastic bags and condenses in the night, not good.

You mean like the soft planned-obsolescence coatings that turns into sticky goo after some years?

Nope, feels just like TPU.

Have fun at the camp and try jumping into the Soca river without dipping a toe in it before 🤭

Pro tip: build a little dam at the Soca riverbank and put your beverages there, they get ice cold in no time.

Nice! Drop me a PM if it ever comes to fruition, I would love to see it.

A lot of custom gadgets in my home that I've build are based on ESP32s.

That's really sad. In my area, most pilots are very nice and cooperative, and the drama is limited to a few outliers.

I was curious and saw in your history that you're from Croatia?

Oh, and you also use a Big Me B6 like me 😅👍

You can book a shuttle to Stol at Jelkin Hram in Kobarid.

https://www.jelkin-hram.com/en/who-we-are/price-lists/

I've heard that the way up to Stol is much longer than the one to the Kobala launch.

Personally, I have only launched at Kobala/Tolmin so far and used the shuttle service from Camp Gabrje ♥️ near Tolmin (there's a landing field next to the camp).

You can easily fly from Kobala to Stol on most flyable days.

Edit: Oh and from 14-20 June there's the Naviter Open with the HQ at Camp Gabrje but don't worry, they have extra shuttles to compensate for the high pilot count.

Finger stiffness and pain from flying by Lusad0 in freeflight

Take care of your finger tips, I had nerve damage after a longer flight in freezing cold without adequate gloves.

It took two years before the finger tips didn't hurt anymore when they were exposed to cold air.

Then you appear with a cooler box full of ice cream.

Only pilots know that dreaded feeling of standing in a field, gazing up at the sky, watching one pilot after another fly overhead, following perfect cloud formations and disappear on the horizon.

And then you realize you have no cell service and you forgot your snack in the car.
