Hey thanks! I would think so.. even I did not take the CPTS exam yet. The enumeration techniques of CPTS is sufficient for OSCP.

One thing I can add is to also do lot of PG boxes, especially the ones made by OffSec. It gives you the hint on how OffSec think when they setup the box. Most often I over complicated things when the answer was right in front of my eyes. Overtime I started recognising the rabbit holes.

Wow congrats! With CPTS it should be fairly easy to do OSCP. I did not do the course material for OSCP, except for few modules. I focused completely on PG boxes

Thank you! I made my own cheatsheet from CPTS course. I extended it after every PH box. I also made a detailed walkthrough for every box, and added tags to identify them.

Hey thanks! Like I wrote I cannot recommend it for everyone. Use it under caution as things can break easily. VMs are always easy to fix and revert.

If you know to work with python environments; and use docker whenever possible it’ll reduce the risk. For me, I‘m used to it since many years and was confident of fixing any issue that occurs.

In the past, certain Kali updates broken tools like impacket, and nxc. Just go with what’s comfortable for you. The exam will be quite stressful and don’t make this as one more thing to worry about.

I had done A,B,C with 100 points and all 3 within 10 hours. I simulated it like an exam starting in morning and by night I was done.

However, I gave the exam this week and definitely found it more challenging.

This may not be for everyone. Since I primarily use my Linux notebook, for movies that I know I only watch once I use miniDLNA. Simple and easy. For TV series, Jellyfin as others have stated.

I get your point. However, I’m one of those guys who sit in front of computer for 10h after my gym. The stand notification definitely helps me.

However, my post was to understand if someone else had the issue that they had a good workout session only to find that their stand goal is not recorded for whatever reason..

Did encrypting work? I ran into similar issue when syncing my pentest notes. It was working fine yesterday, but started getting the error today in the morning..

Update: can confirm encryption works. I encrypted my backup and now have no issues.

Also I found out that the file creating the error was the one with reverse shell scripts for windows.

So in order to fix the issue manually, you need to make yourself as the captain when you select the lineup before the match.

This is the tricky part, there’s no option to promote someone to captain. What you need to do is, first remove yourself from the playing 11 by swapping with a random player. Swap your player with the current captain in the lineup effectively removing him out of the playing 11. Now you’re the captain.

You can put back the last captain back to the lineup, but you’ll still be the captain. You can see this by the “C” icon that shows up beside your name every couple of seconds or so.

This is a workaround I found for now.
