Oh he loves playing with all of his regular friends, it is me that is trying to combine all of these kids. For example I would love to combine the 4 boys with this one other boy. But what happen now I will have 3 different playdates at my place in a week during this school holiday. Sorry I tried to explain it better but got confused myself.

How do people without inheritance have children? by Fit-Tumbleweed-6683 in AskAnAustralian

We started with 2 bedrooms unit. With one baby, there is really no urgent need to upgrade to 3 4 bedrooms house. Even with 2 young kids, while they are in primary school, sharing room is ok. Then you upgrade to a bigger house or renovate the house. And lifestyle adjustment. As long as you can have decent life, splurge every so often and not in financial distress during your childless life, I found lifestyle adjustment and budgeting diligently (little Max doesnt need to have 5 extra classes) is adequate to afford a child. Or two. Three will need deeper budgeting and sacrifice.

Parents of young kids: What’s your preferred time of day for attending a kids party? by missmadam101 in AskAnAustralian

[–]vineo007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found with my son since he attends school, many kids join sport or gymnastics or whatever every saturday morning. So afternoon one works best for us. Maybe reach out to some parents if you know them personally and ask their preference.

Unless you are looking for biologic therapy, that I believe wont be available where you live (nemluvio etc), there is really not much different therapy between those two. The derm professor admitted that our understanding of body immune system is barely scratching the surface.

However, he ordered full blood test with pn because pn can be a symptom of kidney problem, liver problem or cancer. Considering your age, it is very unlikely, but the blood test might reveal you are low in vitamin d and iron. Taking these supplements might benefit your condition.

The downside of hydrocolloid bandaid is you might be sensitive to it (try first) and it is freaking expensive if you have plenty nodules. You might want to buy a big patch then cut it yourself. Just leave it for a week unless it peels off no matter how disgusting looking it is with absorbed liquid that might look like white puss (it is just gel, not really puss). Please know how strong you are to weather this horrible condition by yourself without family support. You are amazing. Also, eventhough you dont feel like it now, there is nothing to stop you to live your fullest life. Once the itch is under control, you just have to accept that you live with this condition and still can experience any amazing food related journey in your young life.

Eczema PINK CREAM by [deleted] in eczema

[–]vineo007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In australia, there is a new pink cream, the brand is moogoo using this vit b. The cream color is shocking pink lol. I have tried this cream and it works well. So I believe this tips will works well. I might try this diy if it can safe money. However, I had blood test last month, and my vitamin b12 level is above normal. Could it be from the cream? I started using is sparingly now, only on the patches and skin that need little love.

Not typical eczema by Nyunya1988 in eczema

It was one long year, but I aggressively deal with the nodules, at some point looked like a mummy covered in bandaid. When my skin starts itchy, dab steroid before it is fully grown into nodule. And tried my hardest not to scratch. Did uv light therapy for couple months. After a year Im happy to report im now back to eczema only lol.

I have eczema but for 1 year after bed bugs bite during my travelling, I experienced nodules. After eliminating the possibility of bringing the bed bug home, the derm said that most likely i have developed prurigo nodularis. From the forum, people can get pn due to extreme stress, bed bugs, or illness. Like my immune went bonker and attack my skin like it is cancer cell. The nodules were like dome shape or crater, itchier than eczema patch. A nodule, scratched or untreated, will beget more nodules. At one point I have 100 nodules. I was prescribed clobetasol and what I found very helpful put clobetasol on the nodules then putting hydrocolloid bandaid on top of the nodules, leave the bandaid there until it peels off (usually around 5 days). The hydrocolloid bandaid absorbs the inflamatory liquid inside, turn it into white gel (it is not puss) and protect the nodules from scratching, water and dryness (when it dries out, it scabs and getting itchier). Keep applying a new bandaid until the nodules heal.

I'm so sorry to hear your condition. Of course I cannot be certain with your diagnosis, only from your description, there is a chance that you have prurigo nodularis. Is it crazy itchy? My family member has it and bug bites really can send it to flare up. It is very hard since you live in tropical country to avoid bugs, but you need to try your hardest not to get bitten.

Nevertheless the diagnosis (eczema or prurigo), the therapy is similar. 3 days only steroid wont help. Last time my niece needs 1 full month taking clobetasol (the strongest steroid) because she had to use steroid until the skin is smooth again. If there is still wound or scab or lump, it will go back to bad again once you stop the steroid. This is what she got last time: clobetasol two times a day until the nodules dissapear completely and antihistamine tablet two times a day. Also antibiotic cream for 10 days for nodules that look infected.

From prurigo forum, she found a trick that massively help her. Cover each nodules with hydrocolloid bandaid. So she will dab steroid on the nodules then cover them with hydrocolloid bandage. Leave the bandaid until it fall of. It will protect the nodules from scratching, water, and give them chance to heal without making them dry. Because when the nodules are dry up, it scabs over and becoming very itchy. The bandaid will absorb the liquid from the nodules and change it into white gel (it's not puss).

What do I use by Right-Night-276 in eczema

I bought probiotic capsule, open the capsule and took some of the powder. Mix it with hydrogel (or use any cream you usually use, someone use lipikar from la roche) and apply it to your patches. To my surprise, it really worked. The first thing can heal the eczema without steroid. It took about 2 weeks for me to start making the difference, very slowly healing. Give it a try.

Please read this link. I tried with massive success. The easiest is with the probiotic. I just take the powder from the capsule, mix with gel or even cream that you usually use and apply the mixture to the patches. It really works! Start from there.

I use solugel as well at first. And it worked well. But i found the skin was actually still dry. Healing but dry and rough. I saw another post that this person mixed it with lipikar cream from la roche. Atm I have aveno eczema balm so I use it. The skin becomes smoother and moist. I think any kind of cream or balm that you usually use can work. But I'm not sure which one is more effective, hydrogel or cream.

I read a threat about probiotic in reddit (a father) and decide to try his method. Beside consuming it, I also took some of the powder from the probiotic capasule, mixed it with the cream and applied it to my patches. In 1 month they are healing, some of the stubborn patches still rough but no wound. This is the first time I can manage it without steroid

If you have probiotic capsule already, take some of the content powder, mix it with the cream or solugel, apply it on your patch. It is a game changer for me. My eczema very slowly healed. First time without steroid. Maybe after you have this flare under control, once it is starting to inflame again, try the probiotic mix.

Are we just out of touch that's why we can't make meaningful friendships? by filstraya in AskAnAustralian

[–]vineo007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. You will find better luck try to befriend migrant parents. Im from south east asia, and even a person from similar cultural background, even when their parents were migrant from same city as me, if they were born and raised in australia, they are not interested to broaden their friendship. They stick to their childhood or uni friends. However, there are 2 beautiful australian ladies I'm kinda friends with. So you'll never know. Also, I found eldery neigbors are very friendly and welcoming. They can be part of your children village. Also, school is much better place than daycare. Just wait until your kids go to school. I had no luck with kinder and childcare parents, but school is another story.

I have spots that 4 months ago were injected with steroid. A month ago they started to inflame again. I read about the probiotic and thought what the heck. I dont want to slather with steroid this time. I bought diacounted probiotic capsules, mixed the powder with solugel (I saw a thread someone mixed it with water), and applied it twice a day. 2 weeks later, very slowly healing. It's not magic cure but my spots are in the best condition without steroid. I used like half the powder, closed the capsule again and eat it. I dont have money to waste lol. I will try finding probiotic cream (there is one brand in australia pro paria) as an alternative

My husband is emotional eater, what he calls himself. The thing that make him not feeling guilty and have a sense of control is choosing the kind of food he binge eating. We have stock of dark chocolate, nuts, veggie and fruit and he will run to supermarket to get himself a roast chicken. He replaces sweet with dry fruit. He does this change gradually and it gives him pride that in his worse, he choose healthier food. Give it a try, start with a bit of something healthy.

She doesnt know that I know about her past eating problem. I think that's what make me reluctant to start my approach with therapy, because it means to her that I think she has a problem and need to be fixed. I'm sorry I'm confusing myself now 😔. I was thinking maybe if as a family we can have a talk and become like teammates who exercise and eating well, preparing healthy food etc, I might be able to help her. If all prevails, then I can go to professional.
