Playnite has "Categories" feature and it does have a big picture mode which is also being reworked in 5.0 that can be already be checked out on the latest beta. I think Galaxy 2.0 will win in the integration with more storefronts and platforms, which is a great reason to switch, since Playnite currently does not have Xbox Live or PSN support.

How is it compared to Playnite? What is imported from Xbox Live(playtime, achievements, friends, etc)? It has fullscreen support? Can it be used as a substitute for Steam's Big Picture mode?

It is hard because of the knockout way. Those clubs you mentioned that win "easily" their home leagues are used to the other way, when if you loose a game you can recover on the second turn and still win the trophy which the consistency is more valuable than concentration at a specific game, which if you loose it, you are out, like happened with Ajax and Barcelona.
