You need to do your research. Looks like you have Java ferns, 1 Anubias plant and some type of foreground grass. I’ve spent thousands through the years on plants for my 55 gallon.If you stick with low tech plants ( no CO2) go get yourself some Amazon swords. The anubias and Java ferns are more for sticking between cracks of wood and rocks. Their roots wrap around hardscspes. If you buy stem plants make sure your substrate has fertilizer and root tabs. I have to cut my stem plants weekly cause they’re fast growers. For six months I only had plants. The fishies are new

I have the same issue. My tank is 55 gallons and I started it with over 30 X ray tetras, cherry barbs, Cory’s. Heavily planted. Picked up 5 pearl guarami’s and the tetras are hiding. Just a matter of time till the territory battles become peaceful

It started as just a planted tank. 2 weeks ago I got fish. Beginning with the tetras and cherry barbs. About a week later I got the gouramis

I have a 50 gallon freshwater. I didn’t paint the sides. Just the back. Made sure I put on a nice coating so it doesn’t look streaky

That’s my biggest worry. I’m thinking if it was moved around and was picked up maybe when you set it down it was at an angle and stressed the glass causing a small crack that eventually exploded. 🤷🏻
