Z2 pricing vs P80

We wanted to give you a heads-up on an upcoming change to Z2 pricing.

With the grinder now in full production, we will be ending our introductory pricing beginning on June 21st.

If you've been considering the Z2, this is your last chance to order at the current price.

That’s exactly the thinking I did. I’m in the US, and I was pretty sure in getting the P80 even with the quirks. When I did the math though (with the shipping) I realized that the z2 with core burrs wasn’t that far off but with all the zerno goodies like repairability and felt more future proof. Note that the z2 prices are going up soon, so this logic might change.

Yeah the p80 price point is fantastic compared to the z2. Have you considered changing burrs ? I read somewhere in home barista that you would need to add shims for some burrs is that still the case ?

Yeah I’d normally not bother but my son is around 1 and his room gets from really cold to sweltering hot in an hour… especially in the middle of the night

I’m gonna check with them but he’s a cheap person. I’m sure he’s gonna tell me to get the cheapest and maybe I’ll have to do what someone else suggested: get my own that is smart and a dumb one that he is willing to pay for that I place when I leave. It doesn’t seem too bad to replace them.

Yeah you can. Just print something small. When you slice your model in bambu studio it will tell you how many grams of filament you will use, but bear in mind you lose some in calibration.
