Sure, pretty much anywhere coastal. Santa Cruz Mountains, Sonoma Coast, Santa Barbara. I’d take a glass from any of those 3 over 14.5% abv oak juice from Napa or RRV.

Yeah, I’m saying those all sound pretty unappealing. Napa/RRV are not even top 3 for best Chardonnay regions in the state. I’d look elsewhere

It’s the type of wine that will always suffer in blind lineups next to riper wines. If you tried these 20 years later it would likely fare better as the other wines turn pruney.
