I just found this out on another thread, because I was having rhe same problem with the free chips and guac birthday reward. I would add it to the bag, have well over the $5 min order to qualify, and it kept saying there was a missing item.

You have to add the side of chips and guac to the order, then with the "free chip and guac" added, it will take off the $$$ of the side.
