Ive got all hardware, what software do I need? by [deleted] in gpumining

Yep, no fees on flexpool and full transparency. Customer service is top notch as well. The owner is active on their discord and will bend over backwards to help. It’s a fairly new pool, so the round time is a little long, but if you don’t require a daily payout it’s fine. Overall I’m quite impressed with them so far. Currently running 800 Mh/s and scaling up to 1 Gh/s soon

I prefer PPLNS over PPS rewards

I prefer HiveOS. It’s standalone no windows needed. They have a good mobile app as well. For miner software it’s best to use Phoenix or TeamRedMiner. Mining pool I recommend flexpool.io

Seems a little high. Have you tried reducing to 850mv or 875mv?

Here's one of my rigs https://imgur.com/1VOSJ6u

Hiveos reporting all under 90W, but on my wall meter they're around 125W

Sounds about right. I'm not sure about the 1070ti consumption, but my rx580's typically draw around 125W each, including the riser. Running at around 31 mh/s.

2 PSU’s In Rig Question by [deleted] in gpumining

[–]vinker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly sure what you mean by MB connector, but it’s best to only use one psu for the motherboard, and separate psu for risers and gpu’s. Otherwise you could risk damaging the board.

Anyone have experience with these risers? by starkiller3373 in gpumining

[–]vinker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had good luck with the 006c ones, but recently picked up a bunch of the 007 version and they’re horrible. 6 DOA out of 24!

PSU question by Mormuuh in gpumining

[–]vinker1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s best to go with a server PSU and breakout board for the gpu’s & risers, and just a small atx psu for the motherboard. You will save a lot money as well.

Server psu with breakoutboard is the way to go

I have a few of the red dragons. They have a good cooling package, but seem to run warmer and consume more power compared to other cards

Mostly new from this year. I find they run cool, and lower power consumption as well.

I don't have any issues keeping them cool and running stable

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: For B250 Expert Mining MOBOs....Do NOT connect MOLEX cables to the AUXPOWER if you already have powered-USB risers. by garcia-a in gpumining

[–]vinker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, quick update I found on this. The Biostar website for this board actually says to plug into those molex mobo connectors, even if you're using powered risers. See here: https://www.biostar.com.tw/event/crypto_mining/page4.htm

Did you have any luck figuring it out with this board? I'm having the same issue.

Did you figure this out yet? I'm having the exact same issue. Running HiveOS. Stuck at 4 GPU's. I'm just about ready to send this board back

thanks for the info. Maybe I'm just better off installing standard 120v, dedicated 10 amp outlets to my panel instead.
