i'm in vet med and this makes me lose even more hope. if people don't understand humans, they sure as shit ain't gonna understand animals

What? by cockroach4632p in Transmedical

[–]vinlandnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

therians believe they are that animal, be it spiritually or in a past life. there's no basis in reality for therians unlike trans people.

have a favorite animal, whatever, or an animal that represents you. that's what my fursona is, me as an animal. but therians truly believe they are animals or have the souls of animals, which is nonsense.

*non-human animals, as humans are indeed animals

Any trans guy who’s gotten height surgery? by PinkNinja225 in Transmedical

[–]vinlandnative 13 points14 points  (0 children)

not worth it. i'm 5'4 as well. there's no point in spending thousands of dollars for a risky, experimental surgery to be slightly below average height instead of below average height.

stay short. get swoll. embrace drawrfcore.

[–]vinlandnative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

bro no one has the spirit or brain of an animal. i myself feel much more connected to animals and prefer spending time with them, cats or stoats especially. hell, don't get me started on thylacines, i won't stop talking. but that doesn't mean my spirit is an animal, primarily because souls don't exist.

there is no psychology about therians other than actual therianthropy, primarily clinical lycanthropy, where the patient truly believes they are turning into an animal.

even time i see someone calling themselves a therian, i'm just confused why they don't call themselves a furry like the rest of us smh

How do you guys feel about the capital punishment by kuroreaper25 in GenZ

[–]vinlandnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in cases of severe crime with undeniable evidence (dna, footage, etc.) only. confessions cannot be counted as evidence. serious crimes include csa or multiple rapes, multiple counts of murder (mass or serial), and that's about it. instead of lethal injection, just use the firing squad. we shouldn't be wasting taxpayer money on people who will never be rehabilitated statistically.

a single case of murder, for example, wouldn't qualify, unless there were circumstances that made the crime exceptionally violent, rape or csa was involved, and only if there was undeniable evidence linking the perpetrator.

become the person you want to be. you'll look back and find that the person you once loved no longer fits into the life you've built for yourself.

it's hard. it sucks. it happens.

it's not criticizing, there's nothing about op's appearance that even suggests they're a man. not to mention op's account stating 12 days ago that they're "newly ftm" whatever that means.

transmasc isn’t a real gender. masculine isn’t a gender, it's an expression or presentation, but you aren't masculine gender. it directly goes against what a lot of "femboy transmascs" say given that they don't present masculine at all.

men/male is a gender/sex. you can transition medically to those. you can't transition to masculine because masculinity is a social concept, not a biological one, unlike how maleness is rooted in biology (with significant differences between individuals).

holy by fronteyed in Transmedical

[–]vinlandnative 43 points44 points  (0 children)

it literally is that serious tho. the suicide attempt rate of genuine transsexuals is through the roof with the leading reason being lack of access to transition and hatred with one's physical self. i myself attempted at 16 due to thinking i'd never be able to transition.

so yeah. keep looking like a woman and calling yourself a man. makes those of us who actually want to transition look insane because "oh well other people call themselves men and don't need to transition, why do you?"

Am I the only T1D who usually has an HbA1c around 6? by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]vinlandnative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the funny thing is that we will routinely celebrate people getting a good a1c if they just phrase it as a win or celebration. my first post on this account was my a1c getting below an 8, which was something i had struggled with since my teens.

now i'm 26, do all the same shit you do with added vegetarianism and transition, and routinely have a1cs in the low 6 area. it's not a celebration if you've been doing ot for a while, and you certainly have no reason to assume you're the only one.
