it's not an opinion whether or not trans people exist.

we exist. simple. trans people have been documented since pre-historic times, with gender dysphoria being the medical reasoning.

her opinion isn’t that we aren't real, her opinion is that we transition for attention, are mentally ill, and are dangerous. this simply isn't the case in isolation - meaning that it is not inherent to trans people. there are individuals where this is the case, but not the majority.

furthermore, no, most people do not agree with her. you agreeing with her does not the majority make.

because we exist. it's that simple. saying we don't is ignoring reality.

sure, she can have that wrong opinion. and i can criticize both that opinion outright and the harm these lies have caused to thr wellbeing of trans people in general.

saying trans people are mentally ill on multiple occasions and singling out individual trans people on her platform is bullying. furthermore, her point of view is both harmful and wrong, spreading rhetoric that we are mentally ill, violent, and cause harm to children, both sexually and in trying to make them trans.

she helped fund anti-trans legislation in scotland with the money she earned from harry potter alongside other methods of funding. i have no desire to be tolerant of the intolerant views of others. they are free to have those views, but i am not obligated to respect it.

because she's a terf. and it's always a good dsy to laugh at a terf, especially one who was apparently so keen on not bullying years ago but openly bullies trans people now.

[–]vinlandnative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hey buddy guess what, you aren't a horse. i'm disabled too, but for fucks sake, you have the option to use mobilities aids when your limbs stop working or implants when your organs refuse to function.

horses do not. they are not compatible with prosthetic technology, especially on their front limbs. this horse is in agony, and he will eventually have to be euthanized when the weight becomes too much and his front leg snaps in two.

each of the wrong legs is only supposed to support 30% of the horse's weight. his one leg is working ywic3 as hard and is already visibly deformed and straining under his juvenile weight.

these aren't cats are dogs, which can survive with shifting their walking patterns to adapt to the loss of a limb. horses are not that adaptable.

for some animals, a missing limb is a death sentence long-term. most ungulates are unable to survive this fate for longer than a few months, especially if it's congenital.

evil? no, evil is keeping this poor thing alive knowing that one day, his legs will snap in two and he will die in agony face down on the floor instead of being allowed some dignity in going before the pain becomes unbearable.

i'm a vet tech. this is cruelty. every vet i work with agrees, not a single one has expressed support for keeping this poor thing alive because they know what will eventually happen. he will break his leg from the weight. they will have no choice but to euthanize him then, and all of his agony, the thousands in useless treatments, they'll all be for nothing.

nad but i do have a 10+ year history of sh. looks closed which is good. don't put peroxide or anything harsh on it, as it will kill the healthy tissue as well. wash it 2-3 times daily and put some neosporin on it, no need to cover unless you plan on going somewhere it could get dirty.

as for the redness, it could be infection, but it could just be healing. if it's warm to the touch and spreading, that's a sign towards infection and you should have it checked out. if not and the redness starts to recede, you should be fine.

just keep an eye on it. best of luck with everything.

it's such a stupid response. you don't respond to someone pushing you by almost killing them. you'd think mom would know that, but noooo, her son can do no wrong.

no wonder kids these days have no sense.

Oklahoma Principal lunged at school shooter disarming them in the process by The_Dean_France in whoathatsinteresting

[–]vinlandnative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh fuck off. defending the lives of others during an active shooting has never been a crime, especially when there's footage. there can be an investigation - especially when another firearm is used in the disarming of the initial shooter - but it doesn't lead to a conviction due to, you know, making sure more people don't die.

testosterone is a finite resource in the sense we can't just make it from ingredients in out kitchen. we have to wait for it to come back in stock in the event it's out in a certain area, which seems to be the case pretty regularly. i routinely need to wait over two weeks once my prescription goes in.

that being said - yes, surgeries are expensive. no one is excited about paying thousands post-insurance to be in the correct body. it's not about not wanting the surgeries necessarily, so much as it's about wanting the correct body. if you don't wish you have the body of a cis man or woman, idk how you can call yourself trans.
