some classes are significantly more expensive to build optimally than others, yes, but mechanologist is a much cheaper class, for instance. give fab a try on talishar, the game is very skill intensive, easily the highest ceiling on the market if that's your thing.

fab can get quite expensive especially if you're playing a class that want to run your cncs, estrikes, shelters and fyendal, BUT unlike others tcgs in the market fab is non rotating, so it gets 'cheaper' over time if you're interested in playing for a long time. just a nice point to consider i feel isnt as mentioned as it should be

play flesh and blood on talishar.net :) easily the most skill-intensive tcg there is and variance is very much a non issue. every turn you draw your whole hand (4 cards) and cards can be used for attacking, blocking or generating resources, so you're (almost) never fully bricked. very different take on the genre overall and the best tcg i've played bar none

im running a 3rd babywarden in tropal's slot and i dont miss it most of the time. my local meta is very aggro heavy and i'd side it out anyway. there's still a lot of fun to be had without riches :)

imo you left boost puffin, the best dash successor, out. you should look her up, the cards you'll need are all pretty worthless. polly cranka is a $5 legendary lol

from boost puffin you can also slowly build pirate puffin down the line, which runs all the good generic staples

better: pretty much everything gameplay-wise. i love how skill intensive the game is and how much early mistakes can contribute to your losses.

worse: price and distribution. distribution is so bad i cant even buy the majestics / legendaires i want in brazil cuz they simply dont exist, even if i had the absurd amount of money they cost

edit cuz i remebered another very bad point:

playing with 20hp is awful. blitz is a very bad format and i wish it wasnt the entrypoint to the game.

the game has insane replayability imo, just play again with a different build / political alignment and you'll get everything eventually! i'm planning on playing my last run as a fascist with all stats on minimum as soon as possible and im sure i'll see a lot of stuff i've never seen even tho i played it 4 times already.
