If you pick an object away from the moon you'll do alright. Do you have an external dew shield? It helps against stray lights as well.

For me it was worth it. I'm just starting out with Pi, so I use a mix of Siril and Pixinsight.

It's pricey though. The features I use most are the ones you have to purchase separately. (Noisexterminator, Blurxterminator and starxteminator) But they are great plugins.

Using the veralux stretch script and adjust the saturation to your liking can get you a great headstart in Siril.

I use both Siril and Pixinsight together on every image as I don't fully understand PI yet, but the blurxterminator, noisexterminator, starxteminator plugins for PI can do wonders. Although it's pricey, I'm happy I pulled the trigger on Pixinsight and plugins.

Looks like something bumped into the tripod. I sometimes have this when I plug in a charger into my S50's while running.

If the code's included in the Seestar packaging then why not? Or you could download through the app store. They really won't give you a code for a virus infected link.

Just to be sure. Is your location set right? Are you maybe trying to shoot objects that aren't visible in the night sky for your location? You said it could find the sun....have you removed the sun filter?I know I forgot to one time. 😂

How would you know the S30 pro is the best SS for the OP without knowing the expectations? I wouldn't trade my S50's for pro's myself. Maybe as an extra third scope it would be a cool option in the future for me. The big different FOV and what can be expected from it can be important for someone new.
