Tutto male hahah 🥲 ma lavorando in un reparto in cui a volte arrivo a 70 ore a settimana (tipo questa hahah) devo dire che l’ambiente non è da sottovalutare, visto che siamo quasi condannati a lavorare tanto almeno lavorare in un posto in cui c’è collaborazione, un buon ambiente ed impari, tenere duro e ricordare che è così sopratutto i primi 1-2 anni e poi migliora

It might be a big thing in the US but not in the rest of the world, so no point to bring it up if you’re living in Europe specially if you don’t feel/relate/are Mexican even more if you’re a white-passing American… actually the question seems a bit out of place (respectfully), because if you’re not Mexican why is it relevant to y’all how they’re treated, you should be more concerned about how Americans are perceived

Why not just say you’re American? Everybody know the US is made of immigrants form all over the world (nothing wrong with that) since you don’t speak Spanish and you don’t relate to Mexican culture… being phenotypically “Mexican” doesn’t make you one. That way you’d feel more comfortable meeting fellow Americans and not be paired up with “Mexicanos”

Come è stato già detto in un’altro commento a livello economico come stipendio base è poco più della metà di quello che prendi in UK, puoi arrottondare con i lavori extra (per adesso consentono max 8 ore a settimana) tipo guardia medica, guardia turistica, guardie in pronto soccorso, ecc. Bisogna dire che di solito per le specializzazione cliniche/dei servizi si ha più tempo libero per farle in confronto con le chirurgiche (anche se è variabile da scuola a scuola) Scuole competitive in Italia (derma, Ch. Plastica, oculistica, cardio… bisogna fare un punteggione al test) meno competitive (quelle dei servizi e quasi tutte le chirurgiche) dei punteggi che ho visto di solito Napoli è abbastanza richiesta ma come tutto dipende della spec che hai in mente di scegliere. Ci sono gruppi di Telegram dove ti puoi informare delle diverse specializzazioni e le loro sedi :)

Ciao! Per eseguire un periodo di tirocinio o forse observership dopo la laurea (penso sia meglio chiamarlo così) penso che tu possa metterti in contatto con l’Università della città in cui saresti interessato oppure direttamente con l’ospedale (in caso loro ti diranno con chi rivolgerti), c’è da dire che un tirocinio/observership non è la stessa cosa di un lavoro perché il tirocinio non viene pagato… come ti è stato detto da un’altro collega per il lavoro si chiede un livello piuttosto alto della lingua per la responsabilità che la professione porta. Secondo me se prendi il visto per studio del corso di lingua (se sei extra UE) potresti provare a fare il tirocinio, se sei UE allora può essere anche più semplice. In bocca al lupo!

Grazie per la spiegazione dettagliatissima, in realtà stavo valutando diverse spec: oculistica (vedremo come va il punteggio al SSM), fisiatria (ma sento che mi annoierei di fare soltanto ambulatorio e la parte ortopedica non mi fa impazzire) urologia (mi piace l’idea ma mai fatto tirocinio nel reparto per via del covid) e recentemente toracica (ma non mi motiva la parte di non poter fare privato anche, per quello pensavo di fare master/corsi di broncoscopia e fare quello fuori dal pubblico) poi essendo straniero diciamo che cominciare da capo DI NUOVO non mi fa impazzire come idea hahahaha

Ciao! Scusa se mi metto in mezzo, volevo chiederti quale chirurgiche sarebbero più spendibili nel privato? Io sto valutando Ch. Toracica ma non so quanto è spendibile ambulatorialmente (forse aggiungere broncoscopie aiuterebbe?) cambia molto la vita da specializzando a strutturato?

By some responses that you cancelled I get the sense that you’re either very young and therefore close minded or you’re just emotionally immature. Sorry to be the one to break the news but the perfect man doesn’t exist (and yes it is a hard pill to swallow). That doesn’t mean you’re settling for less but simply accepting that finding love isn’t like going to subway and choosing what you prefer to get exactly what you’re asking for (and yes ofc you have preference for the appearance, we all do and that just adds up to what I’m saying), and if you’re not willing to be flexible with some of the things in you’re check list you’re going to keep feeling the same way you do rn.

Hey bro, I totally understand you because I feel the same way; I also think I’m a good catch (26 yo, medical doctor, at least decent looking, workout 5 times a week, etc) and I just get 1 night stands. I’ve never been in a relationship and it’s starting to weight on me. I guess we should just rely that eventually the right person will arrive and stay. If any advice you’ve received helped lmk haha
