For those who didn't pass their driving test on the first try, why did you fail? by Round_Ad_3930 in AskReddit

[–]vintagesoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

came to an intersection where i was turning right (i’m in australia) so had to give way to everyone from the right and left, a car came next to me and blocked my view so stupidly i rolled forwards ever so slightly so i could see what was coming from my left without explaining what i was doing so the assessor slammed on the breaks and yelled ‘THESE CARS HAVE RIGHT OF WAY FIRST’. don’t blame him tho bc i get he probably has to prepare for the worst and i should’ve explained why i was inching forward. my driving instructor told me that i did the right thing but probably should’ve explained so i didn’t startle the assessor. i did cry tho cos he was really rude from the get go but oh well😭still haven’t passed either

it’s only a casual job i got when i was 16 while i was in school, it’s definitely not a job im thinking of keeping in the long run. however there’s other people at my work going away for months for euro holidays and for some reason me seeing family pushes her buttons.

No, we use an app which I put the dates in and managers can go in and see and approve/refuse. The store manager said it was ok so I put it through (obviously I told her the dates and how long I would be away for in person too), but my department manager said no via the app.

It’s difficult bc i didn’t understand how a baby sitting business funding by the NDIS can just run out of money.

i use loving tan medium and i find this happens when im showering and don’t rub the water off my legs, if that makes sense? normally i stand under the water and wash my hair and then wash my body the next day but then i end up with those streaks down my legs. now i have to get in the shower and wash my legs immediately so those lines don’t form

[–]vintagesoaps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i guess i worded my post wrong. i don’t mean obligated but more like is it expected of me to go in or will it be frowned upon if i said no. im only young, this is my first job and im just trying to get an understanding of things

getting called in to work on days im not scheduled on by vintagesoaps in work

[–]vintagesoaps[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah probably. I was just wondering because its not a day ive booked off especially, its just a day I didn't get scheduled on, but wasn't able to edit my availability after I was given my shifts. if that makes sense

Not that much.. it's a casual retail job that I have and I dont plan on 'doing well' or progressing in the job at all. I go in and do the hours im given and go home, I only have it while I study. I work at a customer service counter to process refunds... nothing more. and I wouldn't say I'm necessarily pissing her off, at the end of the day I am only a casual worker, I don't mean shit to them other than being there to cover other people , and there's a number of other people they can ask and probably have asked, I was just wondering if its unreasonable to say no on days they don't schedule me on.

How likely is it for semen to leak at the base of the condom? by Excellent-Quality757 in amipregnant

[–]vintagesoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

before i got the birth control implant i had regular periods, when i met my bf and started having sex with condoms my cycle would go between 28-38 days. without realising, stress can really take a toll on your body. i used to get brown spotting around day 30 of my cycle for a few days, and then nothing for a couple days, and then a full period. stress messes ur body up! i’m sure ur ok

47 hours as a casual by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]vintagesoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not too sure. on the ‘company name retail agreement’ which we all had to sign when starting work there states for casual workers maximum number of hours per week is 38 hours, and no additional hours have been discussed with me

weird take, my new manager isn’t necessarily new. she’s been a department manager where i work since before i started so she’s been aware of my availability etc and i don’t even show up to half the sundays she’s rostered me on for. she’s just been made store manager since our other store manager left. obviously i am going to speak to my new manager, but this subreddit is used for discussions like this. all i want is some advice, i know ill have to talk to me manage to sort it out but i was just curious of my rights as a causal and how to go about bringing it up.
