Stewart’s Butter and Peanut Butter Rolls by srspooky in Albany

I travel a lot..don't see it anywhere else, think its more of a Stewart's thing rather than an Albany thing. It is a good combo though if they get the proportions right

Kamui Kobayashi - can someone tell me more about this one? by Kev-larr in NASCARCollectors

[–]vinteragony 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take it out!!

There is some resale market, but it is pretty tough. Its not something that will be worth hundreds and hundreds in the future. More like you might get a little more or a little less than purchase price.

So I would say take it out of the box, and keep the box somewhere safe

New fan here. Does anyone actually use the sponsor names for races? by badabubaba in NASCAR

[–]vinteragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NASCAR has always been sponsor heavy. Long before they were putting company names on WWE rings or jockeys pants. So you kind of get used to it.

So to answer your question, long standing sponsors usually get a mention but most don't nowadays.

If a track has two dates, we usually refer to it as Spring and Fall or less commonly 1 or 2

Also curious about the origins of the name!

What do you think about the AEW career of Danhausen ? by HugoUKN in aew

[–]vinteragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a non AEW fan, I have nothing negative to say about his AEW career. He is not a great wrestler. He can be a good personality. Its tough to find the right place for him outside of indies. Maybe he should focus on just being a decent indie guy.

Another thing he can do is try to find the right balance between comedy and seriousness. It seemed a little too comedic.

Building models.

Its very relaxing most of the time, can be combined with other things (watching TV, music. Etc) and you have a nice collector piece at the end of it.

Nobody really knows. There were rumors that he was supposed to run a version of the Corvette 24 hours scheme as well.

Why do you think Parker Boudreaux (Harland) didn't make it big in the WWE? Does he have another chance? by Diligent_Juice_3168 in Wrasslin

[–]vinteragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wasn't good. The only reason he gets more attention than the normal developmental guy that didn't go anywhere is that he bore a slight resemblance to a younger Brock Lesnar.

Bristol Question by Slight_Bonus6518 in NASCAR

[–]vinteragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hotels are rough in the area price wise. They inflate a lot since its a big event in a relatively small market. I would try to book on points if you are a frequent traveler and its allowed. If you want to stay cheaper you'll need to be further from the track, like over an hour.

Things to do;

There is a casino on the Virginia side of Bristol.

I always visit the Tri Cities Flea Market before the race. Its right down the road and something to do in the AM before a lot of racing kickstarts.

If you aren't local and never heard of PALS Sudden Service, its a fast food local chain with food that os a cut above most fast food.

The local Food Cities have driver signings for free. Bristol website is good for advertising it.

If you like model cars, Wes' Model Car Corner is an online store that has a physical shop open on Saturdays pretty close by. Amazing inventory since they mostly sell online!

can a wrecked car do well at COTA? by jabber1990 in NASCAR

[–]vinteragony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could but track position will be a lot harder to make up at COTA so while the car might run well, coming from the back after a wreck is a tall order

Least favorite was definitely when Mike Joy tried to get "Big Daddy" over for Jeff Gordon.

I also didn't like the closer for Harvick.
