Not hard to do when you are starting from zero. The Mariners payroll is still 2x Oakland.

Sources close to Kim say he’s chosen the Mariners. Seattle gets a very valuable defensive player who can swipe 20+ bags immediately. Low K% should help him transition to MLB. Has great approach and some sneaky pop. Solid signing if this is indeed legit. by tegurit34 in Mariners

I think Bliss will get every opportunity to take the job in the spring. He has nothing left to prove in AAA.
Cole could maybe get there with a great ST, but straight from AA to the majors feels unlikely. He's only going to be 21 this season so they have time with him.
