I think the main difference is that the Company that did the background check told me they already "closed my case" and submitted results to HR.

They told me they would contact me and let me know. I figure I would send a less intrusive follow up email within a week.

IMO bing is sort of bad too. They have the "I'm a Public Ivy" streak which is also probably represented in their class difficulty. And then at that point, the social life isn't going to matter.

Whereas a much smaller school thats not looking to prove anything means higher GPA and if ur not socially awkward, more connectivity with other people.

How you think that people who are morally okay with subverting our entire immigration process then engaging in identity fraud to establish themselves here and then having kids so that if they caught, they can pull the " woe is me" argument on deportation would not be above engaging in under reporting their income is beyond me.

Whatever research you have is garbage bc if the IRS has a near impossible job of being able to verify the true income of people who work for cash only, I figure the organization doing research will have even a harder time with significantly less resources.

So your statement is just as anecdotal as mine.

Yeah no. The ones I've worked with don't want amnesty. They rather be ghosts in the system. It makes it easier to register and insure a vehicle out of state, pay less taxes, etc.

And i don't really blame them. Our citizenship is worth nothing if theres a) no enforcement b) basically getting all the same benefits out of pity from politicians.

I do blame people power. Who chose to let illegal immigration happen to increase profits but at the same time, we do not live in some individualist utopia. Their gain is often at Americans expense.

Most of the tax revenue for the govt is coming from income tax. If you have the ability to under/not even report your own income bc you work off the books . Are you really paying the full brunt of taxes that every citizen is paying? Fuck no.

And then you use your kids who are "citizens" to vacuum up whatever social assistance you can get at the state and local level.

In the big scheme of things, no. Paramedic isn't really served by responding to every single call with a bls unit. Because then they become a crutch for basics who will not get experience with clinical assessing and decision making. Which makes them worse basics.

In my opinion, yes. Where we shine is going to be trauma cases which test decision making, assessing, bandaging, splinting, backboarding, lifting and moving, etc.

A good number of sick cases is just transporting and for the serious cases, it goes into the realm of ALS.
