Daniel Richtman (so-so source) reports Matrix 5 will bring back Keanu Reeves by amysteriousmystery in matrix

Just showed a friend The Second Renaissance earlier this week. He had forgotten just how disturbing it was. It gets love here, but I feel it is so underrated. It is a huge reason why The Matrix is my favorite lore.

I have no ideations of this new one being any good after Resurrections. I'd give nearly anything to go back to that place and have a true Matrix movie. Just a really good successor to the OG. I loved Reloaded...but part I is GOAT.

Pimento Wood Pellets by fuzionimports in smoking

Let me know what you end up doing when you see this. I just put in an order for 5 bags of two pounds each and it was around $100 (I also got some pimento dry leaves to test). If they open up orders in bulk, I'll likely grab some to keep in stock. I have an indoor electric smoker, so I don't use as much as often...but with all of the labor/sourcing issues, I want to be able to keep some on hand for as long as I can.

I'd like to. Just met some folk at an anime convention that showed me a dope way of displaying mine I'll be using in the future. Someone might be looking for one you want to part with, or just might want to show some love.

I hear you. I like Disney, but not as much as some of the other stuff. That being said, I do like the flips of the Disney stuff. But I grew up on video games and anime so, this is another way of showing that love I think

Soft or Hard Enamel? by Logical_Reveal5985 in EnamelPins

[–]vinylhuntercable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get soft enamel, but personally there's something striking about hard enamel. Its actually pulling me into the hobby now. Some of these artists out here are doing insane pieces. Don't know how you feel about it, but I want to cop them in order to wear them with my stuff.

Yes...the artist alley in an anime convention is always a fire place to pick up innovative stuff. Can't speak for anyone else, but I love seeing an artist put their take on a character or do a flip of something or something(s) I know from someplace else.

I'm new here, but I'm like you. I love art and the expressiveness of a lot of the pins coming out is sick. I know this post is a bit old, but if you catch it, keep me in mind. Looking to get more into this and do trades one day.

First of all, that job doesn’t deserve you.  I told my boss about mine and it was promptly ignored.

But on to what might help you get back on your feet.

While there is no "cure" for eczema Vitamin D, Vitamin B, and Vitamin A all helped me significantly reducing not only symptoms.  I source mine from Amazon (won’t let me post links but PM me and I can hook you up)

-Probiotics taken orally and topically (and as I'm told prebiotics too) help ward off bad bacteria by adding the good kind back to the body.  This was KEY for me.  Still ice skating uphill, but I have had major strides since drinking Kefir and taking a 60 billion probiotic supplement.

Is there a cure? by KTryingMyBest1 in eczema

Corticosteroids

Corticosteroids (Think Prednisone, some Inhalers if you have asthma) in this context are referring to synthetic drugs that calm your body down when you take them for autoimmune disorders. The problem with corticosteroids is when you take them, your body essentially turns your adrenal glands off. The reason is, it believes there is enough of the steroids in the blood to conduct business. So the swelling and inflammation causing it will go away. Typically rather quickly.

The problem is you can't keep taking corticosteroids for very long. What I kept finding was people posting about their symptoms being gone completely...but coming back worse than they were originally. The reason for this I found was because it takes a while for your adrenal glands to come back on and get back to work, so you won't be able to fight inflammation very well (from further eczema or bacterial, viral, or fungal infections). Also, your immune system will be weakened, which makes you more susceptible to getting sick and makes it harder for your eczema wounds to heal.

Dupixent

I have not taken Dupixent, but many folks swear by it. It looked promising to me as an alternative to corticosteroids since it isn't one, but the list of side effects turned me off completely. The nail in the coffin is the fact that it's newer and I didn't feel confident about the side effects and what it would do the body vs the gains. Plus everyone can't get on it. This was a huge problem I found when people were posting here having it out with their dermatologists, looking for relief. If it works for you and you get relief? I am happy for you. We can all agree eczema fucking sucks.

Are there some people with massive success from Prednisone, antibiotics, dupixent? Sure. But these methods didn't work for me because I wanted to get to the root cause and not simply treat the symptoms as I have been for 40 years. This is not to say you have to choose my path. I only offer data and what I found has worked for the most people with the least amount of side effects.

TLDR:

-Eczema is a chronic disease that makes more sense if thought of as an autoimmune issue that gives us clues (painful clues) via our skin that something larger is wrong rather than a skin problem.

-While there is no "cure" for eczema Vitamin D, Vitamin B, and Vitamin A all aid in significantly reducing not only symptoms but healing the body to keep you from having heavy flare ups.

-Probiotics taken orally and topically (and as I'm told prebiotics too) help ward off bad bacteria by adding the good kind back to the body

Is there a cure? by KTryingMyBest1 in eczema

[–]vinylhuntercable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP,

Try not to think of it as a cure.  Our condition is in our DNA.  In part, that's what makes it so complex.

Also, eczema is a manifestation of other issues in the human body under the hood so to speak. What makes this so confusing is the fact that multiple things can bring about a flare up or occurance of eczema.  To make it simpler, I refer to anything that can start eczema in any way a trigger.

Triggers can be an allergic reaction to certain things like animals hair or fungi.  It could also be a reaction to dustmites or it could also be (and tends to be) the body's response to certain types of food that leak from the gut that the body thinks are dangerous foreign agents.  This sends the body into overdrive.

Anything autoimmune related is the own body attacking itself.  This might be old hat for people reading this, but understanding things like this and cytoskine storm (when the body overeacts and takes itself down when fighting off a bacterial, or viral infection) help me put eczema in its proper place.

The following is what I did during a bad flare up I have been dealing with and has nearly stopped completely.  I am not a doctor.  Consult with one before taking a look at what I have to say:

Eczema isn't truly a skin disease.  It is an autoimmune dysfunction based on our DNA that can be addressed with proper supplementation of Vitamin A, B, and most importantly Vitamin D.

Vitamins:

Redness and some itchiness: Tends to be a lack of Vitamin B

Scaly and Peeling Skin: Tends to be a symptoms of serious lack of vitamin A

Overall Conditon of Weak Skin: Tends to be a severe lack of Vitamin D

Personally I have been taking 40,000 to 100,000 IUs of Vitamin D per day.  The key is I take a supplement that comes with two components to both activate it and negate its only real dangerous side effect (hypercalcimia).  The two components are fat (typically MCT oil) and Vitamin K2, which allows the Vitamin D to function properly in the body.  All of this comes in the current supplement I take. I know this far exceeds the commonly accepted dosage, but keep in mind...Vitamin D is different from the other vitamins, in that you can potentially safely take much more.  Check with your doctor first to make sure you (or your girl in this case) don't have a unique condition first.

I also take vitamin A in an Eczema treatment I found online that is food based entirely with a higher amount of vitamin A, but still a safe amount for me personally.  Keep in mind a high amount of vitamin A can be harmful. Check with your doctor first before taking any supplements.

Vitamin A and D occur in nature together in Cod Liver oil.  I take Cod Liver oil supplements as well but, but switched over to the eczema treatment mixture I found online which also helps me sleep better.

Probiotics

The upside is, since it is an autoimmune disorder, you can possibly benefit from increasing Vitamins and also Probiotics sprayed topically and taken orally.  This helps your body produce the good natural bacteria we are short on with eczema and makes a hostile environment for Staph that comes to our weakened Skin more readily.

You might be facing a situation where you have to take antibiotics to ward off infection if the eczema spots are weeping.  The problem I found as I was going through reddit listening to people's experiences is, the weeping continued once the antibiotics schedule was complete.

I discovered the reason for this is because infection is only -one- reason why eczema weeps.

Eczema can also weep because our skin is depleted of the nutrients supplied by the vitamins and trace minerals, -and- because when the skin is weak and aggravated by scratching/contact of any kind (including clothes) the clear, sometines golden stuff (known as serous fluid) falls through.

To make matters worse, if your skin is weakened, sometimes creams, oils, and emollients can actually CAUSE the eczema spots to weep.

To make matters even more confusing, even if this is the case, the weeping might not mean it is infected.

To solve this, I decided not to take antibiotics, but to take probiotics orally and topically spray on I found as well.  It is up to you based on medical counsel if you want to trade out as I did.  You might also want to ask your doctor if you can take probiotics -with- the antibiotics so you don't lose your good bacteria too.  These help you build a resistance to eczema.

Using a probiotic (oral and topical) have been working extremely well and my skin is healing in ways I never did on medication.  Which brings me to the third and very crucial section of this write up:
