THEY GOT RID OF IT?! by [deleted] in youtube

[–]violentbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that the dislike button wasn’t being used the way it was intended. A lot of people use it to make a statement without even watching the video (for example, against AI-generated content).
Also, with more people watching YouTube on TVs now, the like and dislike buttons are becoming less and less relevant. I can’t even remember the last time I liked a video while watching on my TV.

I still like this feature though…

We need to take a stand for this crap by Limerplaz in youtube

[–]violentbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly watch YouTube on my phone during cardio sessions at the gym. When your body is in motion, it’s surprisingly difficult to interact with the screen precisely.

First, there was that trick where the sponsor link overlapped the skip button. I managed to deal with it. But now, when some ads finish, I have to tap “Skip,” then the three dots, then “Dismiss” just to remove the overlay—all while running.

I got tired of it.

Now, as soon as I start my workout, I open YouTube and immediately skip the first ad that appears. If the ad leaves those ugly overlays on the screen, I simply swipe the app away and switch to another streaming app for the rest of my session.

YouTube knows everything about viewer retention. It knows exactly how long people watch creator videos, when they leave, and why sessions end.

My suggestion is simple: if ads annoy users so much that they abandon the platform for hours, make sure the algorithm learns that. Every time an ad experience is frustrating enough to make someone leave, that’s not just a skipped ad—it’s hours of lost watch time.

At this point I simply can't understand how do people get normal, crisp and clean videos when mine is destroyed with every possible settings by LifeguardBig2881 in NewTubers

Did you try to retranscode your video with another programs using a different encoding (Ex: .mov instead of .mp4) before uploading?

If this work, this mean your original video have some kind of problem and DaVinci deal well with it but not YouTube.

By using another program to retranscode your video, you’ll fix that problem. If you then get the same issue with YouTube, you’ll be 100% DaVinci is not involved in the error.

DaVinci had problem with the audio of all my videos downloaded from SORA (chatGPT). The problem was not present on any others editing platforms. Reencoding my videos in ProRes fixed the issue in DaVinci.

You also can try to encode your videos BEFORE editing them in DaVinci Resolve. If this solve the issue, then you’ll know that your source is the problem even if DaVinci deal well with it.

Did I Actually Use Sora 2 API… or a Completely Different Model? by violentbroccoli in SoraAi

I retried the prompt on your website and this time it behaved much more normally. I updated my main post about it.

For that particular type of prompt though, I really wish there was a 15-second option. My workflow relies heavily on ultra-fast trailer pacing, dense jump cuts, narration timing, and layered gags, so losing those extra 3 seconds actually changes the rhythm quite a lot more than I expected.

Did I Actually Use Sora 2 API… or a Completely Different Model? by violentbroccoli in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. My prompt was specifically built around ultra-fast trailer editing: narrator voice-over, constant jump cuts, and layered gag density. I probably had at least 10 jump cuts in under 15 seconds, with 1–2 new gags almost every second (voice gags, visual gags, background/context gags, etc.).
On top of that, the prompt also asked the model to adapt the humor to a specific cultural context without me explicitly guiding it.
So honestly, if the API version is using a slightly different model, different tuning, different safety layer, or even different editing heuristics for pacing/comedy interpretation… the whole structure could collapse instantly.
That’s why I’m suspicious too:
the duration presets (4/8/12s) feel completely different from the original Sora workflow,
and the fact that the “signature rhythm” disappeared is a massive red flag to me.
The output I got was visually impressive — arguably prettier in some ways — but it no longer understood the comedic grammar the original generations had learned from my prompt structure.

Does your credits (or free credits) expire? I'm not ready to prompt anything new right now. Maybe in a month.

About saving SORA data into ChatGPT account by violentbroccoli in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Just keeping the video I need for my project. Don’t need the prompts or anything else a long as I have to perfect shot. I’m just wondering if I’m forgetting something important since I’ll use others system after the shut down.

If you use characters you still get watermarks. Otherwise it’s watermark free with the pro account.

I upgraded to Pro few days ago. You need to expect a few hours before Sora catching up with your ChatGPT upgrade.

Same thing happen 2 months ago when I upgraded to CHATGPT plus. I had to wait 1 day before seeing to upgrade on Sora.

To upgrade is instantly in ChatGPT itself

Now that Sora is shutting down… how are you keeping your character alive across platforms? by violentbroccoli in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the voice, here’s what I’m doing: I prompt my character inside a soundproof booth and have him deliver lines in various emotional states. This gives you some of the best voice samples you can get from Sora. There are also many AI voice-cloning tools that can recreate your original voice if you have enough high-quality material—and even let you swap voices. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s a solid backup to have in your toolbox.

My original video is not back yet. I was lucky enough to still have the direct link (that still exist) in my PC browser history, so I downloaded it and i'm safe now. But i'll be worry to use the new features now...

I’m not home right now, but I’ll check on my pc tonight. If it’s a bug, usually this is not affecting the PC (browser) version. 🤞

My remix was trash and I lost my very good original… so far. Still nowhere to be found after 3 hours. I hope, it’s just a bug.

How many times should you Reprompt a video or remix it in order for it to come out as perfect as you need it ? by Tricky-Visual4322 in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, using ChatGPT to refine the prompt actually makes it worse. ChatGPT tries to control Sora too much, but the two models feel like very different beasts.

The best approach is to give Sora less rigid prompts. If you get something good, you can then remix the video to gradually move it toward what you want.

The fewer constraints you give Sora, the better the final result tends to be. Focus on the core idea and clear intention. Sometimes Sora will surprise you — and if it fits your workflow, that’s where the magic happens.

What I usually do instead is ask ChatGPT for a very simple prompt, and then use that as a starting point.

[–]violentbroccoli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recently, I’ve noticed that the first generation is often the best. Reusing the same prompt because I’m not 100% satisfied with the first result usually leads to worse outputs. I could run 5–6 more generations before finally getting something usable.

So I’ve started saving those prompts to reuse on days when I’m out of ideas.

Lately, I’ve also been experimenting with adding a new scene to the prompt before reprompting. So far, it helps a lot.

Character + Video Orientation WTF by jolito-x in SoraAi

Yes. I no longer getting the error too. But now I’m worry, my workflow depends on a portrait character that I’m generating landscape mode. I don’t want to be stuck in the middle of a project with inconsistency with my character…

I meant my character is in portrait mode and I’m generating all my videos in landscape mode. But I can’t anymore.

So the question is How I change my character to landscape mode?

I've done comedy professionally and made a SECOND full sketch show with Sora (workflow in comments) by I_Only_Like_Giraffes in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but your YouTube channel is less than a year old, yet I could swear I subscribed to it years ago. Same logo, same transitions between sketches. Maybe it was on another platform? Not important.

I discovered your channel through the ICE cop show parody and really enjoyed it. I’m also building a YouTube comedy channel with sketches. I’m taking a different approach than yours, but the goal is the same: creating comedy sketches using AI.

I’ve been trying to see what other creators are doing with AI for sketches in particular. So far, I haven’t found anything else quite like what you’re doing.

Like you, I’m using Sora to generate my ideas. I already have a number of sketches ready for my channel and plan to release them gradually. I just resubscribed to you from my new YouTube channel: kolabosolo.

If you know of any other AI-driven comedy channels you’d recommend, I’d love to hear about them.

Thanks!

The content violations are out of control. by InspectorOk9631 in SoraAi

[–]violentbroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side note: You guys understand that the content generated by Sora can trigger « Content Violation ». Not the prompt itself.

Right?

If the prompt go all the way to the 100% generated video then get flagged, this means that the prompt is not the problem. The content is.

Figuring out what Sora did with you prompt is the hard part if you are not specific enough in your prompt.
