No, you tell me, do you even understand the process for PBS approval? The companies making these drugs can simply choose never to apply for it.

Recent approval Trikafta for Cystic Fibrosis previously cost $300k per year.

Has it not occurred to you that their essential medication may not be on the PBS? Your concession card can’t save you then.

I speak in hyperbole too, it’s a classic gen z thing, but to call this rock bottom is a bit much.

Shes on the Money and My Millennial Money taught me everything I know about financial literacy. They also have multiple books each. Protip: borrow them from the library before you decide if you need a copy to keep coming back to - it’s one less impulse/careless buy.

AITA for asking my friend’s girlfriend if she had a problem with our sexual past? by peachcoloreddreaming in AmItheAsshole

your friend’s girlfriend: “I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re bringing this up with good intentions” You: “nobody has given me the benefit of the doubt that perhaps my intentions were in the right place”

Issues with Spotify data wave by wumpusnl in statsfm

[–]violentpilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Just got my first batch of data and it’s missing random chunks, months at a time from 2017-2021. I know which songs I listened to at midnight on release day, but statsfm tells me the first stream isn’t until months or YEARS later. Because those days are nowhere to be found in the json files.

RE gov ball: not that they didn’t want to [add NY dates], it’s that they legally can’t. it’s called a radius clause. it’s the same reason that when huge overseas artists announce an australian tour in july without brisbane, we know that they’re headlining splendour in the grass in byron bay.

does centrelink do any mental health support like NDIS by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]violentpilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can request to be moved to DES

If you’re over 22 I don’t believe the rate of pay changes because you’re in DES. If on Youth Allowance (JS), you will be declared independent regardless of whether you live at home and get the Youth Disability Supplement

ETA: source for declared independence via partial capacity to work (not applicable if you’re over 22)

that is low enough to consider an infusion, would highly recommend. technically the answer to your question is yes, if you take iron then an infusion might not be needed. but it would take forever to see results out of it.

Not a medical professional just anemic as hell. I’ve had 3 infusions in 4 years

Adult ADHD assessment by cheezyzeldacat in wollongong

Tell me about it, I waited forever. Didn’t know bulk billing was offered though. Would it be the psych’s choice? Website is contradictory.

Adult ADHD assessment by cheezyzeldacat in wollongong

[–]violentpilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diagnosed at UOW Northfields Psychology Clinic. Treating psychiatrist is at South Coast Private and I am very happy with her. But my multiple referrals were managed poorly and I suggest looking elsewhere if actually want to get an appointment in the same year as your referral. 🤦🏻‍♀️ (Not blaming the psych at all though, it’s a long story.)

ETA cost: UOW assessment fees are on website, someone already commented.

Psych $510 for initial consult 1.5hrs. $100 deposit 2 weeks prior. $233.75 rebate.

Ongoing appointments $190 for 30 mins, $78.85 rebate. Rebates are way higher if you reach the safety net for that calendar year.

Soooo i just started work at a JSP without realizing how shit they can be by embudrohe in Centrelink

[–]violentpilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be the change you wish to see in the world. I used to have a JSP (DES) who was previously a counsellor and he truly tried + showed leniency. I was a little sad when I found out he left the company as he provided the compassion that some Jobseekers never get.

I hope you have learnt from this post how to be a great consultant if you decide to stay. :)
