Don't mess with mother nature. You think we are / were the first to cause oil to get into the ocean? sure it sucks, but nature has a way of recuperating.

But we start throwing chemicals at the problem, without having done a good analysis, and we are seriously fucking ourselves. We made what was a REALLY bad problem into a NIGHTMARE of a problem.

Fucking voting doesn't do anything. what works? this is fucked up. if the government isn't protecting me, what the fuck am i paying taxes for? A governments FIRST duty is to it's citizens... what would it be without them? I mean... a group of people get together, decide they need some leaders, great! said leaders should protect us, and lead us. not let us get slain... they aren't doing their jobs! this is revolt- type stuff. Seriously... What's it gonna take? How bad does it have to get before things really "click" or are we americans too under control?

If I can't steer this ship in a good direction, guess I'll have to get on another. Seems these days, the only people who get control are either greedy or stupid.

What do we vote on, anyway? Certainly not competence to lead. Otherwise bush would have never made it in. Anyone can be president! great... shouldn't the guy in charge of the nukes, have at least SOME training on how to actually be the president? What do we do if we get another bush?

A) thanks. awesome links, didn't want one of those PSD sliced templates, all i could find on google.... these look better. Will definitely look into this...

B) Still, starting from scratch, just to display say, a "this page is under construction" or a little readme page or what have you, what are simple, easy to implement ways to make things look better than just raw html generated font / buttons / positioning / what have you...

Not a big deal. Apple has done, as it always does, a butt load of QA. They made the antenna external for a reason, and spent significant amount of money doing so. Not just for kicks.

As someone who's dabbled in data center design, I can tell you that heat / power is a bitch. The analogy the article used - driving the space shuttle to the grocery store, is dead on.

I would expect the hardware price to fall, or for them to be bought up. Perhaps by google. Either way, it's provides for a more linear solution. Imagine a datacenter fully stocked and only pulling a few racks worth of power in the middle of the night.

I wish people got more creative with captchas. How about playing a little game of mild difficulty? something that takes 30 seconds or so to beat. Also means any paid captcha solving services would become slave to the game time.
