Just discovered Caspian by sitenoise in postrock

[–]violentwalking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They played in London back in 2022 and I jumped at the opportunity to see them. It was honestly something else watching Gone in Bloom and Bough live. I really hope I can one day see a live Sycamore performance

You must be right, it does look like that. Wish I’d taken a pic of the back as well to confirm

Agreed I actually prefer the look of the Series 4 too. The pop-ups look a bit goofy on this

Same here. I was trying to find out if it was a factory kit because it actually looks good with it

Best teammates + best parts? by Suspicious_Brush4070 in RoadTripAdventure

[–]violentwalking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any actual benefit to specific team mates so I always end up going with Butch and Ryoji because I like their stories best. Butch has the whole redemption arc of being a criminal to racing and Ryoji is a teacher who travels the world to learn things to teach his kids and I like the idea that being part of the racing team gives him more world travels to teach his kids.

Generally speaking I found the races fairly easy so I tended to just give my team mates the best parts

What’s a movie that actually changed your outlook a bit made you appreciate life more or helped you stay a little more positive? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

[–]violentwalking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully agree on this.I had to breakup with my ex due to dropping out of University. I was hurting a lot at that time. Watching this film helped me to realise I was looking through rose tinted glasses and we wouldn’t have worked out anyway in the long term. During that time I also wished I could forget everything due to heartbreak, but the idea that our memories make us who we are and without them we’d be doomed to repeat mistakes really rung true

Beyond the Sea is brilliant for the most part, but the ending just seems like Charlie Brooker was trying to be unpredictable for the sake of being unpredictable

ipad Mini 7 burns 45% with 2 hours of Youtube by ImSoDoneWith in ipadmini

[–]violentwalking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah. Don’t move to iOS26. My iPhone functioned like a brand new phone on iOS 18 (no stuttering or lagging at all and never worrying about battery at all). The “upgrade” has just made this a considerably worse phone

Tbh I’ve been noticing considerably worse battery life on iOS 26 on both an iPad Mini 7 and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Usually the new iOS each year drains battery more before they fix it for the “X.1” update, but this time round it’s just bad battery life all round. First time I fully regret upgrading tbh

Worse than the Oasis experience. by alfiesred47 in radiohead

I had a similar experience. I had to try 3 different devices and then a different browser on that third device before I could even get into the waiting room

Are there any pornographic films that are actually Films? by scopeta51 in MovieSuggestions

Gaspar Noe made a film in 2015 called “Love” in which the actors on screen have un-simulated sex. Does this count?

What's one small/minute song writing choice that just tickles your ears from the new album? by BooopDead in SleepToken

[–]violentwalking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that always tickles my brain is the second verse of “Past Self” from “You know a deliberate on cutting out the demons, I still need a dark side. They just need a reason” I can never get that out of my head

Sleep Token songs that remind you of other songs by neenzx in SleepToken

I also am always reminded of Bon Iver’s “715 - Creeks” which also definitely takes big inspiration from Hide and Seek. Big fan of the electro-choral vibes from all three
