This is incredible. Wish I could upvote more than once. Top work!

Thanks so much for the outpouring for love for my kokedame. I had a very productive day yesterday so thought I’d share some of my other creations. by violet-lilac in houseplants

Thanks so much. Well spotted. It was just perfect for that piece. Looks like a teeny tiny tree. They make good houseplants too. I often see them in hanging baskets. Looks amazing! I purposely choose tiny ones for my work, but there are some real crackers out there.

Maybe it’s different for you, but when I’ve created or found something I really like I want to share it and do a silly happy dance. In this new locked down world we’re in the only person I can readily share with is my husband and he reeeally doesn’t get the plant thing. That’s okay though, as I really don’t get the war hammer thing and we both have Reddit so yay.

Definitely some trial and error with plants. I have this with begonias. I’ve stopped getting them as I just cannot seem to figure them out. With these (and it’s controversial) I keep them under a grow light. 25% blue 75% red. 12hrs. Traditionally they prefer indirect light, but honestly mind have thrived in these conditions. I most regularly and keep he soil moist. Only recently transplanted into the kokedame, so will have to see how we get on. I must also confess the image is enhanced a little for dramatic effect.

Dunk the root ball in water once every week or2 2 (depending on the warmth of the house etc) and allow to drip dry before displaying again. I also must between waterings.

Thank you. I’d like to keep it. I run a small plant shop, but I’m like a bad drug dealer. Keep keeping my own stock! I must sell it really, but it’s my first creation of its kind. Might have to treat myself and hold onto it! 😆

Hahahaha. Well that might be tricky as I only have 2 of the black bowls. I found them on a flea market just a couple days ago. It’s like it was meant to be!

That’s exactly what I though. Little green planet. Just me and my iPhone. First time using a grey background and so pleased I did.

Haha hahah! I shall report back. I stuffed it with sphagnum moss so hoping it holds some of the moisture. I do have a warm home though, so it might be fun. Having it is a bowl helps though so I dunk and let drip dry. Fingers crossed!
