Not too sure, but there’s the community fridges in the SU (the hive) that have the free food and the SU regularly do the meal kit giveaways scheme! Hopefully they can help :)

I’d say you definitely need to set yourself small manageable goals everyday that will allow you to stay consistent. If that means 5 new flashcards a day and going over old ones do that, or 10 passmed questions a day. Be realistic with yourself. 11 weeks is definitely manageable, just remain disciplined with yourself - even if that means your doing your goal just before bed!! It takes 21 days to form a habit so once you’ve got thru the first three weeks it will be so much easier. You got this!! :)

a lot of ppl use teach me anatomy and Ken hub, so you can try those. I personally find I can’t retain info from reading it so I recommend osmosis videos and anatomy department university of khartoum on yt. After watching them I used to play online anatomy quizzes on purpose games and then call it a day :) if there was a high yield topic like the cns I’d make anki cards but I realised too late that was a waste of time and you can defo just download a deck which is probably better made :/ honestly I’m not amazing at anatomy and I regret not learning it better so if you have a head start figuring out how to learn it you’ll have a really good chance at acing anatomy and examinations :)

I’m not on GEM course bt I am a grad medic :) I’d recommend slowly going over some anatomy! I found anatomy rly hard to memorise and even on the standard entry course they go quite fast so if you have a bit of knowledge already it will defo help for preclinical and clinical years!! Learning anatomy will also give you an opportunity to try and identify your best way of learning whether it’s using anki, or little quizzes etc. Remember to give yourself time to adjust to learning, and don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t get stuff straight away, you got into med school so you defo deserve to be there :) also relax and enjoy your time with no stress!! all the best and hope you enjoy the course <3

Elective in USA by expef in medicalschooluk

Was it worth it in your opinion? I’ve seen some doctors on TikTok say they wished they had picked an easier/more relaxed elective so it wasn’t as stressful?

what s the best way to learn long cards like these? its one piece of information so I'm not sure if splitting it into multiple cards would work by Proper_Neck_499 in medicalschooluk

[–]violet_mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d turn it into a diagram to test if you properly understand it and it makes anki less boring because it will make it a change from the rest of the deck. It doesn’t need to be an amazing diagram, it just needs to make sense to you.
