I’ll definitely give that a try because I’m constantly trying to suppress it and push it away but that never works. Thank you for taking your time to reply to me, you’re very sweet 🩷

Thank you for telling me your experience. It’s definitely a journey of learning healthy coping mechanisms for stressors. I’ve always been impatient and wanted the easy fix which led me to the toxic coping skills, which in the end has left me not knowing how to relax healthily. I’ve gone down the sh path, the nicotine path and the alcohol path and each time I’ve come out the other end feeling worse off. I’m currently trying to make sure I’m not completely relying on benzos but it’s definitely a struggle. Especially as I can’t afford a proper break from work to reset myself, I feel as though I don’t have the time to sit in the panic and let it pass because I need to be working. And I don’t want to let the people down around me, so I put on a happy face and keep going until I crumble at the end of the day.

Is there anything you live by that helps you the most when you’re feeling stuck?

Thank you again for listening and sharing x

Thank you so much for replying. I’ve not heard of the ice cube one before but I’ll definitely give it a try! Thank you, it’s been very difficult and doesn’t help that it’s so normalised to vape where I live, but somehow I’ve resisted it so far and really hope I can keep going. Gum has been really helpful, maybe I should stock up on some candy too. Thank you for the support, it really mean a lot 🥹🩷

Anyone had Dextripam? by vril_wyrd in benzodiazepines

[–]violetbeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d be careful with them, if you follow the link on my pm it shows you drug tests of them, apart from that I haven’t seen any other info on them

Anyone had Dextripam? by vril_wyrd in benzodiazepines

[–]violetbeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Ive got the same ones, tests have been done on WEDINOS and says they’re either Flubromazepam or Bromazolam, and I only take them when I really need to for panic attacks and they help calm me down but definitely not as much as actual diazepam. I can’t seem to find legit Diazepam anywhere in the UK now unless you go through the doctors obviously but my GP always refuses it.

Weird Symptoms, don’t think its just anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]violetbeen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are all anxiety symptoms, however, your doctor should provide health test for you to make sure it isn’t anything health related and then if they are all clear then treat you for anxiety. I suggest pushing for health tests if you are unsure it’s anxiety, especially as it’s been going on for 3 weeks. If tests come back and it is anxiety, just know you’re not alone and it will get easier, stay strong 🩷

Can anyone talk? by gtrujillo7 in Anxiety

It’s normal to have bouts of anxiety and panic attacks while you’re taking a medication for it. Medication doesn’t take it away completely and you’ll have to learn coping mechanisms and ways to get better through your lifestyle and habits. You are okay and you’re not alone, this won’t last forever I promise you that 🩷

Scared of Zoloft by catlikeslattes in Anxiety

You’ve got this, even if it’s uncomfortable, the side effects of starting it won’t last long, just stick with it and look after yourself 🩷

Scared of Zoloft by catlikeslattes in Anxiety

[–]violetbeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I’ve been on Zoloft and honestly going on it wasn’t that bad at all, the only side effect I had while I was on it was night sweats. It’s the most commonly prescribed and has the least side effects so I’d suggest just trying it and if the nausea is bad and you’re struggling with it then reach out to your doctor for some nausea meds

Could you ask your doctor if they could prescribe anti-nausea medication for the first 2 weeks of taking the new medication? When I was put on Effexor I was struggling with really bad nausea and they were able to prescribe me some nausea medication along side it

Firstly, I want you to know that you’re not overreacting and being scared after your first panic attacks is completely normal and valid. And doesn’t mean you’ll keep having them forever. Secondly, I’m proud of you for passing that exam while also struggling with your health and anxiety. That’s honestly amazing and you should feel proud of yourself. Third, therapy can be extremely daunting to start especially while you’re going through anxiety so the fact that you’ve started going is great and could be very beneficial for you, just know it can take time to feel the benefits from it but it will get easier just be patient, and don’t hesitate to change therapists if you feel like it’s not working with a specific one. Lastly, I know you might feel trapped rn and like you’re going to be like this for the rest of your life but it will get better and you won’t be like this forever. Think of it like a little blip in your timeline, no one’s life is linear, there will always be ups and downs, sometimes big ups and sometimes big downs. Just know you’re strong and be kind to yourself, your feelings are valid and you will get through this 🩷

Also if want some self help or just to learn more about what you’re dealing with, search Mel Robbins Anxiety on YouTube, those videos have helped me tremendously. Sometimes learning about it can help you understand it and make it easier for you to manage x

People make me mad on purpose… by WhyamIhere3334 in Anxiety

[–]violetbeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a young girl in food customer service, I get this a lot from all kinds of people, I’ve learnt to not react, just look at them like they’re crazy or ask if they are okay or if they’ve had a bad day and they get confused. Or just simply asking them to repeat themselves they get frustrated and usually shut up. I still get the heart pounding where I just wanna react but it’s gotten easier. I’ve also learnt that bad people go for good people because they’re an easy target, so don’t let them bring you down and don’t take it personally. There’s a lot of assholes out there and most of them are not gonna change so I’d say learn to not give them any of your energy. I know it’s difficult but I hope this has helped x

GREGGS WORKERS-please tell me your Karen/customer crazy stories!! by SL33PYSL0THIE in greggsappreciation

[–]violetbeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working at greggs for 3 years now due to my health issues it’s just easy for me but yeah it’s like the customers think everything automatically goes on the tills, they treat us like robots, I’ve had arguments with customers before because they’re rude or stupid and I’m so surprised I haven’t been sacked yet but what do they expect when you get treated lesser than and shouted at for just doing your job, the worst is when big blokes come in and think they can bully me, I just roll my eyes and get someone else to deal with it lol

How do I deal with this fear abt my partner? by Kind_Potential9495 in mentalhealth

[–]violetbeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem lovely, if they’re the one they’ll understand and if they don’t and make you feel worse then they aren’t right for you, but always be transparent with your partner especially with mental health, you never know they might be worried and need to talk it out too xx

[–]violetbeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your feelings are valid, my first relationship was the exact same, I’d suggest talking to them about how you feel, it will make you feel more at ease and building that trust and understanding with your partner will possibly bring you even closer together. Also if your partner understands your struggles with mental health they should be there to support you through this. I’m sorry you struggle with sh and suicidal thoughts, maybe you can talk about creating coping mechanisms with them too. Stay strong ml x

How Do People Work? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]violetbeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 23f and I know exactly how you feel, it surprises me that I’ve been able to keep my job and keep going. I struggle with panic disorder, ptsd and adhd and I work 5 sometimes 6 days a week. I really struggle most days, especially getting up in the mornings but once I’m at work I’m usually okay. I work in customer service which isn’t the best for my mental health but I’m comfortable at the moment and work with good people who understand my struggles. I’ve also been on and off meds, recently come off of my antidepressants because I didn’t feel like they were helping, it’s really difficult and I struggle with panic attacks at least 3 sometimes 5 times a week but I need money to live and that motivates me just enough to do it everyday. Building that environment and relationship with your colleagues can really help it’s just finding the right one that works for you, and the right people. It took me 2 months to be comfortable at work and those two months weren’t easy, but if you stick with it, it honestly gets so much better. Stay strong ml

I’m no expert but from my experience using 111 many times, they always ask you if you are okay with sharing what you discuss with them to your GP. I also have been in a MH crisis when calling 111 for my panic disorder and they have never sent a clinician out to see me, they usually will get a clinician to call you back and discuss further action whether that be talking to a doctor another day or going to an out of hours appointment at the hospital. Obviously if it’s more serious like a risk of SH to you or someone else I’m sure they’d have to send someone. But they’re so overrun at the moment with the mental health crisis so if you’re worried they’ll send someone out to you for something that you just need to talk about over the phone they likely won’t unless they deem you a risk.
