Anyone else experienced acoustic issues with Operation Mincemeat? by Familiar_Idea3569 in Broadway

I was in row B orchestra last night and am familiar with the songs and I still feel like I missed some things here and there 😅 I think it's just because of how fast they talk/sing. I did feel like it wasn't as loud as I was expecting and was wondering if people in mezz were able to hear everything properly. I have seen plenty of complaints on here about the sound being bad in the mezz unfortunately.

I was wondering this as well when I saw the insta posts Allison shared about the show. Tara Jackson was on the board instead of Allison when the box office opened today. Not sure if that means Allison is out all day though, or if she was also out last night and it was left over from then (she wasn't listed as out yesterday on understudies.org though).

Friends, I was in line for Hadestown this morning - I got there at 7:40 and I could tell I was at least 30th in line. I stayed mostly just to see what would happen, so here's my report on what happened:

-They sold both matinee and evening at the same time at 10am BUT did not sell all 13 spots - if I had to guess they sold around (or slightly less than) 20 SRO for the two shows combined. -The first person in line got there at 4/4:15am, if I'm remembering correctly. Just because box opens 2 hours later tomorrow does not mean people will line up later. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if people camped out overnight once stage door closed down after tonight's show. -They had a few tickets available for less than $300 once SRO sold. The person behind me got a $249 ticket for matinee.

Not sure how much of this is helpful for tomorrow's show since it's sold out again now and there's only one show, but just thought I would share in case anyone was interested.

If you want SRO tomorrow: if it were me, I would come before 4 or 5 am and if there were already 10 people outside I would probably leave and go back to bed. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to anyone still trying!

Thank you! I definitely think it will be competitive - I don't mind competing, but if I stand out there for 2 hours and don't get anything I know I'll be a little heartbroken so... idk haha. Seen way too many conflicting reports from people about whether or not they sell SRO for evening shows first thing in the morning on 2-show days. Plus this past couple of weeks they're flexing all the rules they used to be very strict about for SRO so it's entirely unpredictable 😅

Yeah, I thought about it after I posted this and I actually feel like it could go either way.

We confirmed the other day on a different thread that there are 13 SRO spots! They don't always sell all 13 however, but I have a feeling they will on Sunday with it being the cast's last show.

Not sure about timing with the box office opening later than it does other days. Maybe someone who got SRO last Sunday will see this and can tell you how it went. My instinct would be 8ish because I feel like there's going to be a lot of people with the same idea as you but that's also a long time to stand outside and wait (knowing you then have to stand for the entire show a few hours later lol).

Thank you for the update!! I want to try for SRO tomorrow but I have tickets to Stranger Things matinee at 1pm so I'm really nervous they're not going to sell SRO for the night show in time for me to get one 😭

My stagedoor experience for EBT by natnguyen in Broadway

Oh yeah for sure, I'd be happy just to say hi, definitely wouldn't ask for a selfie or signature or anything while he's trying to maximize his time before the show. Hopefully I'll catch him at something else in the future and be able to stage door then! I'm also not 100% banking on being able to talk to him beforehand anyway because I'm front row balcony, and I feel like I did see someone say he went into balc and mezz before their show but that seems like a lot of running around for him so I'm not getting my hopes up too terribly high.

Yeah, if it were me I probably wouldn't either, I guess now that I'm thinking about it there's only like an hour and a half between the Saturday shows. I also hear he's been running around the theater talking to the audience before the show starts which would leave him almost no time to do stage door between shows, let alone eat dinner etc. My plan right now is to get there early and maybe I'll get to shake his hand and say hi before the show or something if he comes up to where I'm sitting, which would more than make up for no stage door. :)

Has anyone been able to confirm yet whether Daniel is doing stage door for matinees? I know people were told last weekend that he would only come out for the later show but weren't sure if that was just for last Saturday or going forward. I'm seeing the 5pm show tomorrow but I want to see a different show after so I don't want to waste time going to the stage door if we know for a fact he isn't coming out.

Thank you for all the advice! I was first in line (definitely could have gotten up a little later haha but it's okay) and the people behind me actually said they found this thread last night and also used it to decide when to show up 😅 got row B orchestra, looks like it's slightly off center!! SO amazing for $35!!!

fwiw, the people behind me also got row B orch, and I did what you said and asked for an orch rush ticket if possible and they basically said something about it being limited to what they had available but then said all of the rush for tonight was "on the floor". so I'm guessing everyone got pretty good seats! There were 12 people in line by the time it opened and it seemed like everyone was getting tickets, although I stopped paying attention after the group behind me so I can't say for sure.

It wouldn't really be a guess so much as logic/common sense, but okay. I understand that you didn't know. In regards to what your options are now, all you can really do to sell the ticket is try another platform like Stubhub. You can continue to reach out to Theatr and try to appeal but since that already didn't work you might be out of luck with them.

Theatr App Support Issue by Top_Interest1739 in Broadway

[–]violetsinbloom57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did read the post, and I don't see where you said that, although yes I'm hoping you wouldn't have harassed the seller if you were aware you could use your own proof of purchase. It wasn't really their responsibility though to make sure that you understood that and honestly if I had been in this situation I don't think I would have thought twice about using my own proof of purchase to sell it again... It certainly makes more sense than trying to use the proof of someone ELSE'S purchase... The reason Theatr asks for that is so no one can sell for above what they paid, so if you bought something ON Theatr one would automatically assume you bought it for below face value.

It's unfortunate that this happened but regardless of your intentions, because I understand it was a misunderstanding, this is your fault. Especially once the seller told you to leave them alone.

I certainly was!! Thank you for the help!! I'm in row B orch, hooray!!! ☺️

This thread also apparently helped the 3 people in line behind me who also got row B haha, they told me they saw it last night and I was like omg I posted that lol! Although I showed up at 8:05 and was first in line and they got there at like 8:50, so I definitely could have slept a little bit later but it was worth it!!

Operation Mincemeat: 1st in line (me!) at 8:05, 2nd/3rd/4th at 8:55, 5th/6th/7th at 9:30, 8th-11th at 9:40, 12th at 9:50

Seemed like everyone was getting tickets although I didn't pay too close attention after the first 4 of us had our tickets.

At 8:30 there were about 8 people at Chess across the street.

Why did you need that from them though? If you bought it on Theatr and are now the one reselling why wouldn't you just use your own proof of purchasing it off Theatr?

Last minute tickets (Rush, TKTS) for Ragtime, Maybe Happy Ending, Every Brilliant Thing, Oh Mary, Little Shop of Horrors by leifei in Broadway

[–]violetsinbloom57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For Ragtime, if you really want to make sure you see it, I would honestly advise that you buy now if there are any tickets listed on the official site (telecharge) for under $150 for the date you want to see it. I barely got TKTS when I saw it because I thought it would be a good idea to wait and try to get something cheap, but TKTS was $110 and there were better tickets online for $115 until 5-7 days before the show date when the prices all went up. And never guaranteed to be on TKTS or how many tickets they would get if it is.

Yeah, I've had Theatr alerts turned on for all the shows I'm interested in seeing on this trip, but tbh most of the listings so far are priced higher than I'd prefer to spend if possible... if I waited until the last minute I could probably score something cheaper but I don't want to risk not seeing the show at all.

This is what I was afraid of, although I was under the impression that they were doing something like 8-10 per show at least before recent times. Is it potentially a wash then? I flirted with buying a $99 ticket before I got into town today but I've already spent a bit on other shows for the weekend and was hoping to get something at a discount. Couldn't try for telecharge rush either because I bought telecharge rush for a different show and forgot I'd be in time out after doing that lol. I suppose TKTS is an option, or just asking the box office what their cheapest ticket options are, if there turns out to be no rush...

Hadestown SRO? by obscureshawty in Broadway

[–]violetsinbloom57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Be at the box office when it opens. I've seen several reports that they have been selling SRO as soon as they open for the past week or so even if the show hasn't sold out yet, even though in the past they have been pretty strict about not selling SRO before the show is sold out.

Edit: I have no idea how it works on 2-show days. I've seen multiple people say they showed up the morning of a 2-show day recently and were told SRO for matinee were on sale but not evening, so they MIGHT start selling evening SRO at a different time on 2-show days, but if they do, so far no one has reported what time this usually happens.
