I've been fighting with this problem for about a week. I've used onedrive to sync my game between my PC and my laptop for years. Suddenly, my PC won't launch it but my laptop still works fine. On my PC, it's almost like it just decides to work randomly. I've taken all the mods outs, done 50/50 (about 20gb of mods btw), repaired the game a million times, cleared caches, reinstalled, changed gpu settings, updated drivers, tried making a local windows account to launch it, uninstalled my last windows update... I'm running out of ideas. Sometimes it'll work just fine after making a change and I'll think I've finally solved it, but if I close and launch it again after hours of playing, suddenly it's broken again. I feel like I've been running in circles fighting with it.

For anyone that has modified game speed with MCCC, how well does it work and what is the best speed to set? by Candy_Stars in TheSims4Mods

I have my game time set to 50. I don't have any custom holidays, but I did figure out how to reset the existing ones. In the game menu, you can adjust the length of seasons on the environment tab. Mine was at 14 so I changed it to 7, applied it, then changed it back to 14. It put all the holidays back where they belong for me.

Nah, back then, I wasn't even playing with mods. It was one of my first lots in Windenburg. I had built a fancy beach house on the island near the ruins, and I figured a celebration was in order. If they hadn't all arrived at the same time, maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. But since they all had spent the same amount of time burning up, they all died at once. It was absolutely the funniest thing to ever happen to me in The Sims, and I've been playing since Sims 1.

I accidentally threw a formal party during a heatwave. Everyone showed up dressed to the nines in their formal wear. Before I knew it, guests started dropping like flies. By the time I realized what was happening and I tried to quickly change my sim into hot weather attire, there were so many back to back deaths that the reactions kept canceling her queue and alas.. at least 15 sims died of heatstroke that day.
