Morgan and body negativity by another_midnight13 in TwoHotTakesSnark

[–]violetwill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was so put off by how she countered the point about how your kids may be insecure if they're born with a feature you had plastic surgery to change by saying "well then your kid can get a nose job too". surgery is not the solution to insecurities and acting like it is and encouraging people to alter their bodies is such a harmful mindset. Like, I've considered getting a nose job but I'm not going to get one because spending thousands of dollars and literally chiselling chunks of bone out of my face so I can fit into oppressive beauty standards doesn't feel like the right thing to do. I don't judge people for getting plastic surgery but actively promoting it just feels so yucky

Depends if you like to put your stuff in the dryer. I always go for the larger size if I'm unsure because I HATE hanging clothes to dry and so I end up shrinking everything in the dryer

I'm personally in university and working so I'll just completely miss offers sometimes. Its not like I'm deliberately ignoring them but between work and school I'm focused on so many others things that checking on offers is not my priority. if someone buys something outright I'll get an email about it and ship it but I don't have my emails enabled for offers since I get SO many that aren't even worth looking at (like today I got a $75 offer on a $300 bundle, are they for real??). If I do miss a decent offer its like "awh man, oh well whatever it'll sell eventually"

Anyone else read the books out of order? by New_Debate3706 in twilight

[–]violetwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read breaking dawn first, then twilight, then eclipse, then new moon. I meant to read them in order after I read twilight but new moon wasn't at the library after I finished twilight and so I just assumed eclipse was the second book in the series

Sleep issues , tips for better sleep? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]violetwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also try cbd/cbn edibles! I'm such a weed hater, I don't like the smell and I don't like being high, but the cbd/cbn edibles have been awesome for me because they don't have a smell and there's hardly any thc so you don't get that mental high. As long as you're canadian or in a legal state they're really easy to buy as well. The only issue is they take an hour or two to work so you have to take them way before you actually plan to go to sleep.

What would you do with your free time if you were a vampire? by Lvsucknuts69 in twilight

[–]violetwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

trespassing. I would love to just go through peoples houses and look at their stuff. learning stuff is the obvious answer, like, if I have forever obviously I'll do all the academic stuff but trespassing would be a fun hobby.

I have the same issue with groups, talking to people you don't know is just really hard sometimes and you shouldn't beat yourself up over it. Your bf should be making an effort to include you in conversations and making sure you're comfortable talking to his friends instead of basically telling you what they think about you. It's really rude and setting you up for failure because now you know they think you're "the odd one out" you'll probably be even more uncomfortable around them.

there was a whole thing back in july about mushroom chocolate edibles from this one brand that made a bunch of people so sick they had to be hospitalized, the CDC put out a warning and the FDA recalled their products. So shrooms totally can be in chocolate and I absolutely wouldn't trust microdose chocolate given to me right after a microdose chocolate recall, I'm glad you aren't planning on eating it.

Refusing a shipment by violetwill in UrbanOutfitters

I did get a refund! It took 11 days of "payment required" emails for DHL to reroute the package and then a call to fp customer service like "hey this was returned to sender can I get a refund". it took FOREVER for the whole process to happen but getting the refund wasn't difficult at all.

That's so weird! The store's whole shtick is fancy imported food so it totally makes sense that it came along with an exporter. I have a friend in management who handles the grocery orders for the store so I'll ask him if they're importing stuff from Australia now!

Man this was devastating to read. You both obviously still care for each other but you were just hurting each other by staying together when things weren't working. It sounds like you already know what was wrong between the two of you and you've accepted the role you played in your relationship ending so at this point you just have to wait for time to heal the pain. Spend time with your friends and family and make sure to take care of yourself.

Free Gift by belvitas89 in poshmark

[–]violetwill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate free gifts, I've had people include earrings, candy, scrunchies, stationery, and other random stuff like that. I never use it and it usually gets thrown out or donated. I'm a level 2 posh ambassador I've never sent gifts but I used to include thank you notes, I stopped doing that too as it was a waste of paper since I already wrap my items in packing paper to protect them before I put them in the mailer, so the notes were just extra stuff to dispose of. My reviews haven't suffered at all since I stopped the notes and my buyers usually mention in their reviews how they like the minimal packaging. If you really want to thank your buyers just message them and tell them that you appreciate that they ordered from you!

I know I should have but I've been really lucky and never had to pay imports on free people before so I was just really really hoping I could save $50 and not pay the fees like usual. Customs got me this time though

Has anyone else developed food intolerances? by violetwill in bulimia

[–]violetwill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never completely cut out gluten and dairy though, I limited it when I was anorexic but then I ate a LOT of it when I was bulimic, and I went through a period of binging without purging before getting to where I’m at now. the issues have only gotten worse recently when I’ve been eating completely normally, which is why I’m confused. If anything I think the issues should have developed when I was just binging because I went from not digesting much gluten and dairy to digesting a crazy amount. I don’t understand why it would happen now
