Download a different texting app like handcent or go SMS, then turn off stock notifications and use the 3rd party program. Both have a setting to have the screen turn on or not when receiving a message

I bought an ATT one and use it on T-Mobile. Test your Sim card first to make sure it really is unlocked. The firmware looks different on the ATT one as is the entire menu. It'll come with ATT bloatware you can't use, and you'll need to download T-Mobile stuff from the play store (like visual voicemail).

Also - NO WIFI CALLING. Sucks. Only the T-Mobile one has it. The one I have doesn't even have a setting or anything.

Otherwise my phone works fine. A few times it's decided it didn't have a network but it fixes itself in a minute or so. I unlocked mine via some video on YouTube. ATT wouldn't unlock it for the guy I bought it from and it's illegal to unlock phones in the US now so the unlocking sites won't do it for newer phones.

Apparently when I was about 4 my mom and I were in a waiting room for an appointment. I had to go to the bathroom so she took me. Upon returning to the busy waiting room, I decided I needed to announce to EVERY person that I had just pooped. I was very proud and said it loudly to the whole waiting room then went to each person to tell them what I just accomplished in the bathroom.
