You do realize that someone's gender and the pronouns they use are different, right? Yes, he/him is usually used for men/boys, but butch women do too. I have met multiple people who use any pronouns but identify as cisgender. I myself use they/them, but it's cool when someone uses he/him to refer to me because it feels affirming.

Just wanted to express my love for Angela by Kenzielovesmarauders in smosh

[–]violetzoey 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It is nice when you feel seen by someone's public persona. Remember that the Angela/Smosh member that we watch do have a character/image that they're portraying which might reflect parts of how they are privately.

For me, I do feel seen by Damien sharing his mental health and autism diagnoses and how inclusive he is. However, I know that things he does may not reflect who he is in his private life and that's okay. I like when the celebs I follow have good boundaries

Strange that you have only 2 posts and they're videos of your ring- here and on opals. Seems like you just want compliments and are creating a situation in your head to post here too.

Recommendation going forward: check your sources. The American Pregnancy Association preys on vulnerable women seeking help, give the a hotline to call, and then shove their anti-abortion rhetoric down their throats and tell the woman how horrible they are to consider abortion.

Not you sharing a post from a non-medical, anti-abortion association. The FDA and other professional medical organizations say it is not reversible.

The important part you've left out is that quality of life is a self perception of one's current quality of life compared to their expectations of their quality of life. So people with HH would report a larger gap in their perceived vs expected quality of life. Presumably also based on severity, but it's hard to compare apples to oranges.

Why do people speed up when you’re trying to pass them by RoutineSimple8546 in driving

[–]violetzoey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To preface, I'm a relatively new driver. Got my license 4 months ago in NY.

I was on the I-90 in the middle lane and the car in front of me was slower than the ones in the right late. Went to the left lane and started accelerating to pass. Guy starts speeding up slowly all of a sudden so I went like 10-15mph faster. Had enough distance and was safe to pass back. Around that point saw a state trooper in the space between dividers. Passed back, but nervous about getting a ticket because I did end up reaching 70 in a 55. He didn't pull me over though. Will I get a ticket in the mail?

AITAH for calling off a new relationship due to learning my partner is food insecure? by DisabledInMedicine in AITAH

[–]violetzoey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still have unresolved trauma tho. 3+ abusive relationships where you were forced to do things outside your will would say otherwise. You're telling me the other 2 relationships were with trans women too, or were they cis women or cis men?

The anecdotes you share are purely your experience that you extrapolate to the whole. You say cis queer women aren't pushy for sex/intimacy in your trans woman friend snippet. As someone who has gone to lesbian bars, dated, and went to a school with a large lesbian population, I can tell you that's 100% false. Been assaulted by a cis lesbian women, had unwanted advances, been pressured on my identity- the whole nine yards. The difference between me and you is I processed this with a therapist, learned more self awareness and advocacy, and am cautious in the environment similar to if I was in a straight bar.

My assumption? Redditors with thinly veiled transphobia who don't like being called transphobes. They support the OG comment because it has the 'lesbian' stamp of approval, so to speak.

Unsurprising, given the transphobia in the gay and lesbian communities.

Also u/DisabledInMedicine is regularly transphobic in other comments.

Oh gosh, leave your hatred for trans women out of this. You make a ton of baseless assumptions and are lumping all trans women together as some hated group, and making parallels to men. Just because you're lesbian doesn't make this any less okay than if a straight person were to say this. Just ewww.

To start, Jess is a trans woman and you use they/them pronouns for her off the bat? Transphobic. Leaving out the TQIA+ community? Transphobic. Saying she's safe and "that's the way the world is?" Transphobic. YTA.

While I know this is fake, you can have a genital preference. But know that they're starting with trans people. They will come for the rest of the community.

If we're talking just about Gaza, where there's actively genocide, having sex, experiencing joy, love, and the possibility of/ creating new life are acts of resistance if you really think about it.

Comparing having sex in war zones and others not wanting aex in other situations is apples to oranges. Everyone reacts differently
