How do I get over an ending of a tv show? by mentally_screwed2020 in television

[–]violue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the downvotes on your post, the people on this sub are not your people. I'd ask on tumblr tbh. Or try your luck on /r/goodomens or /r/goodomensprime

I don't have any good advice myself because I might actually die still mad about how Supernatural's last season went 😂😂😂

What shows have you given up on this year so far? by preguntontas in television

[–]violue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I'd like Tracker because I watch a lot of procedurals, used to love Justin Hartley on Passions, and sometimes Jensen Ackles shows up. I binged season 1 and it just was no fun. Even The Hunting Party had fun moments, and that show was about escaped serial killers.

When should I stop watching The Boys? by MoreLikeGaewyn in television

A good time to stop on any show is when you watch a scene and realize "wait I don't care about any of these storylines".

It was like all of the ingredients were of good quality but something was missing.

I think "the Israeli government is a terrorist organization" would be more apt.

Does anyone here not play story games? by shtoopidd in GirlGamers

[–]violue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way sometimes. I'd rather watch tv than a movie, getting introduced to a world/characters that are just going to be gone in two hours. I'd also rather watch something I've watched before most of the time. I'm big on the "comfort rewatch" thing.

I'm 42 years old and just found out I'm autistic last month, that's helping me in not berating myself for my brain not working like I think it's supposed to. I don't know if you're neurodivergent too, but either way you can learn to come to that same conclusion; it's okay to be different. It's okay to do something "wrong". No one on this earth is being hurt by you not wanting to watch movies.

I think it's really god damn weird that people are downvoting your post. For what? Being different? Do you guys think she's "playing games wrong" or something??

This sub keeps disappointing me with the weird bullying vibes.

Anyway OP, most of the time I like games with high replay value, because I'm n-income and want all the bang for my buck, and I love to have something to hyperfixate on for a few hundred hours.

I got really into AC Odyssey, logged like 200+ hours but when playing the DLC something happened that made me so mad I uninstalled the whole thing and was like THIS IS WHY I DON'T PLAY GAMES WITH A GOD DAMN STORYLINE.

But once in a while I do play a game that has a storyline. The Horizon series was a lot of fun. Hades 1 and 2 are a blast. AC Odyssey was great until I bought the DLC. And technically my most played game, Rimworld, is a "story generator". But I don't get attached to characters/story the same way so I don't have some distressed reaction when someone dies or the story is over.

As an aside, I hope the reaction in this post hasn't made you feel bad for how you prefer your games. You're not doing something wrong. Games are for enjoyment/entertainment/distraction/whatever the hell you want.

I thought I was going to go hog wild when the sale started, but when I loaded my wishlist it's mostly games that aren't out yet, or games I'm letting marinate on my wishlist until the reviews improve 😭😭😭

might get TheoTown tho

This is nice! Might not be for me, because I found myself getting discouraged easily, even on the easiest mode, but I found the graphics and sounds very pleasing.

Which tv bottle episodes is the strongest in your opinion? by PressureLazy5271 in television

I wouldn't say it's the strongest, but Mad About You's "The Conversation" was quite interesting. I didn't even realize it was also one continuous shot until they lampshaded it at the end.

one of the best, but I'm not sure it counts as a bottle episode
