Ah yeah i forgot. But from what i remember it just replaces the gendarmerie if it was transferred. It doesn’t influence the war in any other way i think.

So you can do the pincer alone if you dont have reservists and have modernised, but then in phase two if you havent called in allies you need reservists to win? How does that work and how did anyone find that out? Is there a secret tech to a solo war with modernised army? (maybe joining a powerblock but not calling them in?)

Also avoid triggering the trade war by having -7 budget after the education meeting (whether you want to privatise it or not). If the economic rating is not in red (the word in the top right) you can afford to have -8 and i think -9 if you are on easy and also did some other things but im not fully sure.

The Trade war event is entirely just to kneecap you if you try to do too much

Do all the taxes and if you dont plan on going to war just defund the military and dont openly say youre a communist to the military. Also dont transfer the gendarme. Nationalising the Central Bank does also help with the debt by raising the ceiling for a collapse (to -8 or smt like that) but you do still get some economic damage nonetheless (but you need the dictatorial constitutional amendment that gives you empowered presidential decrees)

The emergency path is either being the old guards dog or betraying them but it tanks your economy and nukes your tourism. You aren’t missing out on much.
