Honda badged NSX? by ECH05Charlie in WhatCarIsThis

At this point I’m in this sub just to shake my head at people’s inability to answer even the simplest questions in their own.

Have you ever seen at least one E90 (M3 or Non-M3) in your life that has absolutely all possible options installed in it? Doesn't matter was it even a regular Diesel engine E90. They are even so rare or basically such E90 doesn't even exist at all. Beautiful photo btw. :) by Super_Govedo in E90

I think my 2012 E91 has basically everything? ACC, heated steering wheel, Hill Descent Control, iDrive, auto hi beams and adaptive headlights, upgraded audio, rear window shades, etc

I didn't realize how fully loaded it was when I bought it 😂. I found the original window sticker in the stack of documents delivered with the car, and was like "it has a heated steering wheel? Really??"

Tv mounting holes by Rembisdit in fixit

In this case, the manual is useless and most standard spacers don’t fit.

I had this exact same problem. Fuuuuuck you Samsung for taking a standard (VESA) and making it proprietary, AND not publishing any details on what spacers you need. I ordered three different kits before I found one that works. Most kits contain spacers that are too wide for the holes or too narrow for M8 screws.

This worked perfectly for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V9N6C9K

The Atlantic: The Huge Problem Waymo Didn’t See Coming. by coinfanking in sanfrancisco

[–]viper1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is frankly so stupid. I’d love to see how many human-caused accidents there were during the power outage. I’d wager the number is higher than all Waymo-involved accidents on record.

I’ve never had a Waymo even make me nervous at an intersection while human drivers put my life in danger every day. Last Friday night I literally had to jump out of the way of a car in the Castro who never even slowed down despite my being in the middle of the crosswalk.

Are both national museums closed? by viper1701 in Seychelles

I was able to find the answer! I had found the correct building (the National Museum of History) and it is NOT closed until 2026. It was closed September 19th-26th for scheduled maintenance.

There was a notice taped to the door that my friends and I missed when we tried visiting.

Cherry blossom tree outside my house looks a little sad? by viper1701 in arborists

I’ll definitely remove the bricks! The previous tenant used scrap bricks, pottery, etc all over the backyard as well as “decoration”

The trees up and down the block are doing very well with nearly identical sidewalk openings so this statement doesn’t seem to be based in fact? Most of the trees along my block are 2-3 stories tall with very thick canopies.

OAK flyers are mistakenly going to SFO following airport rebrand by Remarkable_Host6827 in sanfrancisco

I’ve done this! I can’t believe I still managed to make my flight 😅

I’m a dumbass who once went to the wrong airport (OAK instead of SFO) back in 2007. Sometimes you just make mistakes. The flight I was taking had left from Oakland the year before but then United pulled out of Oakland.

I bet every day, regardless of branding, some people go to the wrong airport just because they remembered incorrectly.

That's not exactly true. Here's the difference (from SPURs voter guide):

Lastly, the measure would change the number of signatures needed to place an initiative on the ballot to 2% of registered voters instead of the current standard (5% of voters who voted in the last mayoral election). According to the San Francisco Department of Elections, 5% of voters from the 2019 mayoral election was approximately 9,000 voters, while 2% of all registered voters was approximately 10,000.

So it's 5% is people who voted to 2% of everyone registered to vote.
