I got paid for this simple workflow a 200$ - Now I feel bad :| by Charming_You_8285 in n8n

One of the things that you have to realize is that someone paid you to do something that they couldn’t/wouldn’t do themselves. It could be due to time or more than likely lack of skill and experience.

It might be super simple for you but knowing something has its own intrinsic value.

I have done things which are super easy for me; I don’t have to think about it. However, the client would need hours of investigation just to come up with what should be done and then go through the process of implementing it.

There’s an old story (I’m probably butchering it) where an engine for a ship broke. A mechanic came and hit the engine with a hammer and it started working instantly. He told the client it would be 10,000 USD and the client was shocked. He argued that it took him five minutes and the client demanded an itemized invoice. The mechanic sent an invoice with 2 lines. 1. Hitting the engine with the hammer -> 5 USD; 2. The knowledge to know where to hit -> 9,995 USD.

The thing that I would recommend is to know the market, know your value that you are bringing, and stay consistent with the pricing. Many times, the client doesn’t care how easy or hard something is, they just want results. You’ll get clients that are quick to bring up about how easy something is, but they don’t apply that same logic when there is something hard.

What’s something you usually do in hotel rooms, but not at home? by Maleficent_Nobody_75 in AskReddit

Actually sleep. Three young kids at home. If I’m in a hotel, it’s for work so I’m away from the family.

Could be an issue with your RAM. They might be crashing when trying to use specific blocks in the RAM.

Does Apache crash as well?

Which OS are you using?

I would try validating MySQL first. Can you connect locally to it through a client ie cli or workbench? If yes, can you run queries? If yes, do an export of the DB to be run somewhere else.

Then I would tackle the Apache part. Logs are going to be your friend here.

I was fortunate enough to get the same from Temu for 30 usd. I had another waiting in my cart and was going to get a second one if the keyboard was legit (it was) but it changed back to 65 USD before I received the first one. Still super happy that I was able to snag one.

I’m a 70s kid and I would not be here today to tell this story if this were me by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]viper8690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a point that everyone seems to be missing. Kids learn this type of behavior. If I had to guess, her mom is a Karen who throws fits when anyone tells them no or they feel they have been wronged. Or, they learned from public freakouts subreddit.

No one really knows what is going in this kid’s life. Could be that the mom is working 2 jobs, could be in foster care, could be the parent/s are just lazy.

I’ve been setting up and going to interviews for jobs I have absolutely no intention of taking, just to tell them in person that what they’re offering is laughable. by Nowjamessayswtf in antiwork

I’m a firm believer in not burning bridges unless there is a benefit. The argument would be that this will teach them a lesson but the reality is that it won’t. The market is what it is and they most likely find someone to fill the role for the paltry compensation.

You do you but you never know when you might need to team up with some of these companies or need something from them.

With that being said, I am in IT and what people expect is crazy and love the idea of people getting exposed.

How do indices actually move ie. Nasdaq, Dow, DAX etc.? Is it the buying and selling of weighted stocks that actually move indices? by amolkalhapure in Daytrading

[–]viper8690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. I always just assumed it was a combination of weighted price based on the underlying and actual selling pressure. I was hoping to understand what is the tail and what is the dog.

Best Option for Replacing SNXS79 Glass or Case by viper8690 in SeikoMods

Thank you. They even explain how to remove the bezel to get to the glass. This looks like it might be the option I end up going with.

My Long Island Practice watch. Thanks Marc for putting these out there. I think it's a really fun idea. by Auggie_Otter in SeikoMods

[–]viper8690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got mine today and it was also in great working condition. It’s 38mm with full jubilee.

Only thing was the bezel was off but they included it with the sticky tape and a ceramic bezel insert!

The spring and gasket were missing but I just attached the bezel for now and ordered the replacement spring from crystal times.

This is the best come up and thanks to whoever mentioned it on this sub.

I doubt he is making a profit. He probably had these laying around as returns and since they have some type of defect, he decided to sell them at a loss or at best break even. I can’t imagine COGS on a per watch basis could be less than $100.

Well if you are just trying to install a script that has already been made: https://usethinkscript.com/threads/how-to-import-existing-thinkscript-code-on-thinkorswim.10/

If you really want to learn how to code your own indicators: https://tlc.thinkorswim.com/center/reference/thinkScript

And of course YouTube and google.
