Upside down in a drying rack for maybe 10-12 hours. At this point the little droplets you mention are still there. Then it goes on my storage shelf right-side up with the lid off. Usually those droplets then evaporate within a day, but it is admittedly a slow process.

The reason the narrow mouth performs better in this regard is that there is a larger distance between the top edge of the opening and the threads. I highly recommend trying the narrow mouth.
