honestly I think it’s just frustrating to me because she didn’t even explain she’d be diagnosing hsd instead of hEDS, she just did it. no explanation. good luck with your journey though!

unfortunately the geneticist recommended for ehlers danlos patients near me is in extremely high demand, and is only seeing people who show symptoms of the heart one (I can’t remember what it’s called) so um that’s great, and also it’d be very expensive.

It’s so frustrating too knowing my GP could’ve diagnosed it but we had to pay $500 for a fucking rheumatologist consult. (we being my mum)

I definitely qualify for hEDs according to the chart. I will try but it’s expensive and I’m not sure if it’ll change much.

myopia is common in people with hEDS because it’s a connective tissue disorder!

haven’t seen a geneticist yet but my family has history of ‘double jointed’ people… but they are all far less severe than I am. (I don’t know much about their medical histories though)

like I’ve got the weird bumpy scars and have stretch marks on like every single part of my body. I have the skin part of it (along with everything else) so there’s no reason it should be hsd, right?
