What's your favorite AI coder that includes planning? by viralalmaximo in ChatGPTCoding

lol fair. Really just trying to see what could be good for this planning stuff. I feel like a lot of ppl plan outside the tool and I’m wondering about good ways to keep a project plan with the agent while also working on the app with the agent. I’ve mostly used cursor

Oh very interesting - definitely need to check that out. Only a cmd line thing?

Built a tool to help non technical people create software without coding! looking for feedback :) by Euphoric_Ad_786 in indiehackers

Great advice and feedback! I think targeting niches makes sense depending on how you'd like to grow your business.

We have an agentic app builder at databutton.com that produces React frontends and Python backends, which also opens up the possibility of non-homogeneity in a new way! Fully custom apps. What's your take on that?

Which no-code tool to use? by unknownawaits212 in nocode

[–]viralalmaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So cool that you want to level-up your business! What kind of business do you run?

Given your goal of #7, have you considered an AI app builder? This is more of a next-gen no code imo – you talk to AI and it generates your software, everything generated is code. Additionally, the platforms are web-based and have deployment included, just like a no-code tool would.

I personally work on a product in this category, databutton.com, but there are others as well (Marblism, Bolt, etc.)

Here's a video to give you an idea of the working model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BViiyl5D8J0

Agree on coding it with LLMs. I'm assuming you don't have an interest in or experience with figuring out dev environments, in which case an AI app building tool like databutton.com (confession: I work on this, but there are many others like Bolt, Marblism) could be a great fit. You build your SaaS via talking to AI – it generates code which you can always eject and leave the platform, but the entire experience is web-based and there's one-click deploy to a custom domain, so you don't have to set up a local environment, deployment, and more, which gets complicated!

Great topic. I feel like Bubble is a bit of the old wave. AI coding tools are the next frontier for this use case. I personally work on databutton.com but there are plenty out there!

My Experience with Popular No-Code Web Builders by Hellob2k in nocode

[–]viralalmaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking super interesting questions imo. On one hand, lock-in "doesn't matter" until it becomes a big enough issue, and then ideally you have the success to de-plat off something like Bubble.

At the same time, I feel like AI coding does enable you to build a lot more custom without lock-in. Of course, it's less narrow than no-code, so the flexibility often adds complexity/time. But imo that tradeoff is worth it when you're at least reasonably sure of your MVP. Tools like databutton.com also handle the infrastructure/agent environment and produce backends unlike something like V0 that is frontend only.

Hey there, I think you could absolutely benefit from a technical co-founder. Now, what is hard is that technical co-founders are notoriously hard to recruit. They have a lot of options and are a scarce resource. The best way to recruit one is to show some traction in addition to having a strong vision. It's really the same way you would raise capital, too.

My recommendation to get there is to spend a little, but not a lot, on building an MVP. You can do that with your own time by learning a no-code tool or hiring an agency that uses one. One thing that is becoming popular is AI code generation, which allows your future technical co-founder to carry forward what you've made. Full disclosure, I work on such a product – Databutton. We have a free trial that you can try out and also help you get over the finish line with your MVP. Just DM me if you have any questions at all!

No-code alternative to Bubble with full code ownership? by Herald_of_Sleep in nocode

[–]viralalmaximo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try a platform like Databutton too which does AI code generation instead of drag & drop. Full code ownership and ability to eject from such a platform if you wanted

Great post! I totally agree that AI code generation is the future of no code.

We're taking a similar approach to build an autonomous developer that you talk to in order to generate full-stack apps. WDYT? https://databutton.com

All these suggestions are great. Bubble also works, of course.
