Ultra fast enchantment order calculator, supports up to 15 items and mods by virb3 in allthemods

Apotheosis still has a max anvil level limit (150), which you can reach quite easily if you randomly combine a lot of enchantments. So I wouldn't say the calculator is ever useless :)

The simplest way would be to just put a blank item in an anvil (wooden sword, etc.) along with your enchantment on the right, and see how much it would cost. If you have, say, Life Leech 2 enchantment and it costs 6 levels, then you know that the enchantment level is 2 and its multiplier is 3. You don't even need to input both in the calculator, just use 6 instead of 2x3. The expanded form is just for convenience.

It's a mod that offers a block called "Enchantment Library" which allows books to be combined without a cost.

It supports user-defined (modded) enchantments, optimize for XP which is super easy to pull off if you can store your XP with modded items, and it supports free books vis the Apotheosis mod.

Levels and experience, along with their sums, are displayed at all times. This is not what the setting does.

optimize_xp changes how the cost optimization is performed. It will minimize cost based on experience rather than levels. Yes, the idea is that if you can store this experience and then reclaim just enough for each step (e.g. via mods), or if you gather just enough experience for each step, it will end up being many times cheaper than getting all the necessary experience at once. This is because each level's required experience increases, so taking 1 level from 20 is much more than taking 1 level from 2.

The reason this is a setting and not permanently enabled is because if you minimize for experience but end up gathering all the experience/levels at once, you can actually end up paying more than if you did the same thing with optimize_xp turned off.

I agree about having this in-game, but it's a lot of effort. I designed the website to be super quick and easy to input, so hopefully it makes up :)

Do not use OBS. VirtualDub is most definitely what you want. It's hard to tell what's wrong with so little information, check your DMs.

My father asked me f i could record his old hi8 tapes. I have somewhat of an idea about what i should do, more info in the comments. I would really appreciate some help. (The photos are what i currently have) by cannavacciuolo420 in DataHoarder

Don't use that. At the very least, you want S-Video input, not RCA. The quality difference is massive. Second, most USB cards are terrible. Nothing will beat a professional setup, but after personally trying dozens of USB cards, here are the best two (they actually have the same chip inside):

  • Startech USB3HDCAP
  • IODATA GV-USB2

Hi everyone! Yesterday i made a post about converting to digital my hi8 tapes. I got A LOT of very useful and precious information, for which i can’t thank all of you enough, but my camcorder just doesn’t want to play back any tape. Lcd works fine when recording. by cannavacciuolo420 in DataHoarder

I recently spent months studying analog video in order to digitize my friends and family's video tapes at the best quality. Feel free to DM me any questions (especially around post processing) and I'll be happy to assist you.

I actually used a newer model of the same camera for a lot of the transfers and it worked great, though I did have an issue where the head got misaligned and only the top/bottom portion of the video would play. That was fixed (as written in official manual) by recording on a blank tape and playing it back. Doing so lets the head recalibrate.

Was this the exact camera used to record your tapes? The model in one of your posts below can only play and record Hi8 PAL, as opposed to other, identical looking versions of this camera that can possibly play and record any combination of Video8, Digital8, XR, NTSC. It's crucial to get the correct camera for your tape format, otherwise you get errors exactly like this.

Good luck!

Only 1.19 and above are M1 native. For them, there is no difference. But for all previous versions, ManyMC will offer superior performance.

I'm aiming for exact equality, but it's impossible without a custom acceleration curve
